Josh's mother was driving him to Mr. Mardits house. Josh's nerves were at an all time high, his heart was beating fast and his palms were sweating.
A lot of thoughts were running through his mind. He wondered what Mr. Mardit would be wearing, what he would say if Josh told him that he has feelings for the teacher.
As his mother pulls up the driveway, Josh says his goodbye to his mom and gets out of the old Chevy with his broken computer.Once he reaches the door, he takes a deep breath and knocks.
The door swings open and in front of Josh stands a casually dressed Mr. Mardit. He was wearing a Gray sweatshirt, a blue pair of jeans, white socks, and a big toothy smile on his face.
"Come in!" Says Mr. Mardit enthusiastically.
Josh steps into the house and sets down his computer. "Thank you for having me here"
"It's no problem. I'd do anything for you" Mr. Mardit winks. Josh's cheeks go pink.
Mr. Mardit goes over to inspect the broken computer and says "This is an easy fix, I just have to add some nails here"
Josh knew that, he just wanted an excuse to talk to Mr. Mardit, he didn't expect to end up at his house.
A couple of hours laterMr. Mardit had just finished fixing Joshs computer and they were at the dining table eating lunch. Mr. Mardit had made spaghetti since it was his favorite.
"I have to tell you something" Josh finally spoke up. Mr. Mardit looked at him curiously
"Ok what's up?"
"I have feelings for you" josh finally blurted out.
Mr. Mardit looked shocked. Josh wished he could just dig a hole in the ground and let the Earth swallow him up.
"I have feelings for you too" Now it's Joshs turn to be shocked. He never expected an answer like that. He thought Mr. Mardit would call him a freak or never want to speak to him again.
Josh smiled and got up from his seat.
