"Let's go?" Oikawa asked. Kana nodded skipping cheerfully like nothing ever happened.
"Don't pretend like nothing happened today, Michi-chan.."Kana stopped on her track facing the Captain with serious expression plastered across his face. She sighed dragging her feet towards Tooru's direction.
"Sorry.. I can't be sad.. It will only worsen the pain I had.." She smiled weakly. Placing her hand on his cheeks.
'There it is..' He thought.
Oikawa stared down on her eyes. Staring at her night sky like eyes made him at ease. Smiling softly, he clutched her hands.
"You're really something.." He chuckled staring at her gleaming eyes and button nose.
"Really? I don't think so.. I'm just a normal 3rd year student at Aoba Johsai.." She grinned and laugh.
"Sure you are.."Toru said. "Say Michi-chan? When did this all start?" He said pointing out what happened earlier.
Silence.
"Since the first time I set foot inside this School.." She said kicking a rock away.
"Why did they do that?" Toru asked looking at her curiously.
"They said I'm a bad luck.. Since.." She stopped looking him straight in the eyes. "Someone dies every time I spoke about them.." She said.
"What rumor is that?! That's not fair.. They can't just start a tradition because of that.." Oikawa said.
"I know right? But they doesn't really die.." She said reassuring him. "I think it's President's doing.. Because," She paused. "I stole his spot every exams."
"Good, another reason for me to beat the hell out of him." Oikawa said.
"Don't mind him.." She waved it off. "It's fine.. I don't really care about that.. My wounds healed within a day anyways.." She laughed.
Toru's eyes traveled on her knees and face. He didn't even notice that there's no bruises on her face and knees anymore.
"Well.. That's something you won't see everyday.." Oikawa chuckled.
A black cat crossed the road. Its green eyes gleaming beautifully. Kana leaned down petting its head. She laughed, the cat is purring.
"You know," She started. "I'm just like this cat.. They said black cats are bad luck.. But who knows?" she said seriously looking at Toru's face.
"Stop doing that!" She laughed hysterically. Oikawa lifted her up to his shoulders.
"Stop! Bring me down!" She said. It's Toru's turn to laugh now.
"No..." He said teasingly. "Unless.. You go out with me.."
Her eyes widened. He dropped her off. It's her turn to drown into his brown pools.
"Did I hear that right?" She chuckled nervously.
"Kana, I'm serious.." He said looking away.
"But.. You don't even.. Know me." She said silently.
"But.. I want to know more of you." He said messing his hair up.
"You can't even look at my eyes.." She said crossing her arms. She turned away.
"Kana," He grabbed her. "Go out with me.." this time he said it seriously. "You're so mysterious I can't help but to say how amazing you are.. I-I want to know every part of you.. I want to know you deeply." He said truthfully. "You can answer that later.. I'll wait for you.."
Lips parted she smiled. No one has ever want to know her, except her parents and granny. The others despised her since she's a geek and dubbed as a badluck.
"Very well then.. Let's talk about that later.." She said grabbing his hands. "Look.. It's not that late right?" She asked.
"Nope.. I skipped practice so it's still early." He said.
"Let's go over there.." She said dragging along with her. "Let's wait for the first star.." She said sitting at the nearby rice field.
The two talked things like volleyball and her experiences. Toru looked at her happily. No one ever took interest on the things he like genuinely. His past girlfriends 'did' but deep inside they all just wanted his sole attention.
"You're really obsessed with aliens and volleyball huh?" She said looking at the setting sun.
"Hm.." He hummed. "Ever since I was a kid, I often play with alien toys.. Then I learn volleyball and I started to fall in love with it deeply too." He said smiling at the memories flooding back.
"You know Toru, there's only one missing in your life.." She said.
"What is it?" He asked teasingly.
"Happiness.." She grinned.
"Every people needed that.. So yeah I think I need happiness.." He said truthfully.
"Will-Will you ever be happy If I said I'll go out with you?" She asked him, her eyes smiling.
"Yeah.. I'll be.." He said chuckling.
"What if I went missing?" She asked looking at him mockingly.
"Then I'll find you everywhere.."
"What if you can't find me?"
"That's impossible.. I will find you.. Whatever it takes.." He said grabbing her hands.
"What if.. I die?" She asked his eyebrows furrowed.
"Don't say that... We're not even dating.." He said.
"Just kidding I won't die.. But seriously.. What are you gonna do?"
"Then I won't look for anyone else.."
"Then You'll be sad again.." She chuckled. "Sorry enough for the questions.. You can use my lap as a pillow if you're not comfortable.." She said.
He lay down on the green grass. The sunset's colors burst through everything as the sky cradled the sun. She combed his fluffy hair. While he closed his eyes.
"Toru.. It's time to Wake up.."

"Huh?" he sat up sound of machine was heard across the unfamiliar room. He looked around him, there's so many machines and apparatus inside the room.
The door open wide, revealing Iwaizumi and Hanamaki guessing their attire they just went out of school.
"Shit.. Shittykawa.. You're awake! Finally!" Iwaizumi said.
There's a stinging sensation inside his chest. The last thing he knew, tears streaming down his face. He cried his heart out.
'Is all of that just.. A dream?'
