Chapter 1.0

Luke was happy. Happy he got enough sleep so he was fine getting up this morning. Happy his vegemite toast came out just the way he likes it. Happy that he was happy.
"How's that project coming along?" Luke's mum took a big bite of her toast.
"Good Jasmine and I got a couple paragraphs written for the essay part." He smirked at the inside joke him and Jasmine made last night.
"That's great!" His mum always tried to be supportive. She accepted him as gay and made sure he was sure that he was accepted.
"For the next two days we aren't going to work on it. Jaz is getting her hair done tomorrow and our brains are fried. Also I'm gonna hang out with Ashton right after school."
Liz just nodded. She then gathered the plates along with their glasses and put them in the sink.
"Well you better get going, I love you!" She kisses his cheek and Luke quickly rubbed it off with a groan.
"Love ya too mum." The heavy book bag swung around his shoulder.
"Bye my little nerd." Luke just laughed as he headed out the door.

Luke patiently waited for the bus. He tapped his foot to the Green Day song stuck in his head and imagined the strings to it. Before he knew it he was playing air guitar singing a little too loudly. He didn't hear Ashton coming.
"Hey babe," He wrapped his large hands around Luke's waist and kissed his jawline. "Having a mini concert without me?"
Luke could feel his cheeks brighten.
"It's fine. Anyway, wanna hang out?" He combs his fingers through Luke's hair, making a messy fringe. Luke mumbles and tries to fix it but Ashton keeps messing it up.
"Whatever." Luke just keeps the messy fringe. "And we're hanging out later."
Ashton laughs at Luke for not realizing.
"I mean cut." He lightly smacks him upside the head. "Dork."
"I don't know." Luke moved up when he heard the bus coming.
"Please?" He tugged the boys book bag back.
"Fine, lets go." Luke grabbed Ashton's hand as they walked down the street.
