Soon, Kylie and Jason arrived back at her house. Desperate to resolve the issue, Kylie decided to show Jason her computer. He had been job shadowing as part of a high school program, so he had some experience.

"Let's see what I can do," Jason said.

After a few minutes, the computer was back to normal.

"Got it! Say, what's this game?"

"Oh, that's the game I was playing," Kylie answered.

"Do you think it will work?" asked Jason.

"I guess we'll see," said Kylie.

This time, Kylie was controlling a different character. He looked like he had a mullet and wore a Member's Only jacket with some khakis. On the top left corner of the screen, read the word "KENT" and a score below the name. The top right corner had a total of three hearts.

Kent moved down the hall, killing a spider along the way, scoring 300 points. Kylie saw that Kent could not get through the locked door ahead, so she moved towards the next one. This time, it worked.

The next room looked like any other, except for two things; a row of spikes and a swinging rope. Being careful not to get skewered, Kent swung across the pit and landed safely on the floor. He then went through the next door, ending up in a bathroom.

A cutscene started to play as the bathroom went black. When Kent turned on the light, the room brightened, and a dark, gloved figure holding an axe appeared at Kent's left. Sensing a presence, Kent reacted with a quickly silenced scream by the axe striking his face.

Blood immediately gushed from Kent's wound, and he soon collapsed. The last thing that played during the cutscene was Kent's body twitching on the floor with the weapon still embedded.

"What the hell is this?!" Jason exclaimed.

"I... don't know," Kylie said. She did not expect a retro-looking game to be this graphic.

Soon, the two went back upstairs.

"I have to get back to Star Tech," Jason said. "If you need anything else, call me."

"Yeah, sure..." Kylie replied, still in disbelief.
