Recap
"Wait!" chimes in another girl. Seriously, where are this people coming from?! Suddenly appearing right into my face?!
-------
------------
She has a red hair, purple eyes and in uniform (I mean, what do I expect this is a our schools dorm actually). And they seem to have something around their arms, a red band that says "S.E.E.S." I wonder what that is. Maybe they're in a club or something?
Then the lights went back on and the background.. looks normal again. Now that I can take a good look at this dorm, it looks vintage-y. Not the usual Japanese homes should be, like kotatsu's and stuffs and the thing where you leave your shoe behind before you entirely enter the room and wooden floors. Nope.
There's a long desk at the left side of the front door (where I'm currently standing at). It's like one of the desk you see in a hotel. The walls are painted in beige, the floor is.. is this a carpet? Yeah. RAD. The whole floor is covered with it I wonder if upstairs too? And not to mention it's green, one of my favorite colors except this is dark. Dark green. Kind of reminds me earlier. Nah.
The kitchen is right around the corner and has a--I would say a mini bar but I'm not sure or maybe it's just a fancy cabinet attached to the wall. The living room is right beside it, a small television, two comfy sofas, two loveseats, and a desk in the middle. And I almost forgot, a chandelier. Awesome is all I could say and pretty normal.
"The lights.." The brown-headed girl said, breaking me in the middle of my admiration for the dorm.
Then we headed for the living room and sat at the sofas.
"I didn't think you'd arrive so late." Said the red-headed. Smiling on me.
"Uh. I, guess." I said tiredly.
"My name is Miran Kirijo." She stretched her hand out to me. "I'm one of the students who lives in this dorm" Miran said as we shook hands.
"Who's she?" ask the brown-headed.
"She's a transfer student. It was a last minute decision to assign her here." She explained. "She'll eventually be moved to a room in the normal dorm."
"Is it okay for her to be here?" The brown-headed whispered but I obviously heard it. I glared at her but failed miserably because of my tired eyes.
"I guess we'll see.." Said Miran with a small grin on her face. There's a pause. "This is Tomoyo Watanabe." She points at the brown-headed girl with open palm. She winced lightly and look down at the floor as if she's uncomfortable being introduced. Hmm, weird. Or maybe, she's that shy-type kind of girls.
"Hi, I'm Tomoyo." Or maybe, not. She held out her hand to me and we shook hands.
"Why do you have a gun?" I blurted out and quickly regret it mentally and winced.
"Huh?" She fidgeted with her thumbs. "Um well, it's sorta like a hobby..." she said, stuttering lightly and keeping her gaze anywhere but me. "Well, not a hobby, but--"
"You know how it is these days.. It's for self-defense." Miran interrupted. "It's not a real gun, of course." She added quickly while smiling and there is something with her smile that sent shivers down my body. And I heard the brown haired girl sigh in relief. But I shook it anyway, it's probably because I'm tired. But it's still weird.
"It's getting late." She change the topic. "You'll find your room on the 3rd floor." She stand up. "Your things should already be there. I suggest you tuck in for the night."
"Oh!" Tomoyo suddenly exclaimed, standing up, I copied her. " I'll show you the way. Follow me." She suggests.
I nodded and mumbled a 'thanks'.
We reach the 3rd floor and my room is at the end of the hallway.
"This is it." She suddenly said while I'm about to open my door and I quickly look at her. She's looking down at her shoes and fidgeting with her hands. Hmm..
"Pretty easy to remember, huh? ...Since it's right at the end of the hall." She babbled. "Uhm. So, any questions?"
I blink at her and the little boy earlier suddenly clicked in my mind. So, I didn't hesitate to ask.
"Does that boy live here?"
She looked at me weirdly and laughed with no humor. "What are you talking about? There's no boy in here, except for one. But he's not here now so.." She trailed off looking at me and her eyes widened probably because of the poker face I'm giving her seeing that I'm not joking then she lightly push my arm. "C'mon it's not funny."
"But.." I trailed off. I could've sworn I saw that little boy for real. And then again, maybe I'm just imagining things. I'm pretty exhausted. "Ugh. Never mind, I'm probably seeing things." I rub my forehead and proceed to open my door.
"Can I ask you something?" God. What now!? I resist the urge to snap at her and just turn and smile.
"Sure." I said sounding tired.
"On your way here from the station.." She paused, "was everything okay?"
"Hmm, besides the fact that I think I saw some coffin thingys and dried blood that I'm pretty sure was my imagination cause y'know when I'm tired my imagination goes bazoos and--"
I stop when I feel someone shaking my shoulders. I blink and saw Tomoyo doing it.
"It seems like you're alright." She let go of me now and started walking backwards. "Well, I'd better get going."
I'm halfway through my door. "Um.. I'm sure you still have other questions, but let's save them for later, okay?" I think she's referring at the gun incident earlier.
"Um, sure." I shrugged.
"Goodnight." Then she sprinted downstairs without waiting for my reply.
"Uh. Yeah." I sighed.
God. I swear she got into my nerves there. Can't she tell I'm freaking tired?! I probably look like a zombie.
And now, no one can come between me and my bed.
