As we were standing by the tree in the deserted golf course we got to talking. I told him how I wish I had something to cover my hands while looking at his hands. He thought I was just kidding. I proved him wrong when I moved towards him and put my hands in his. My dad was still far enough behind us he couldn't see what was going on. Michael got my hint and pulled my hands closer to him and started to tub his hands over mine. He looked into my eyes and it wasn't his normal brown eyes I saw there was something more but I couldn't tell what it was. Before I knew it we heard my dad getting really close and we pulled apart but kept looking at each other. My dad got to us and asked if we found the geocache. Of course we didn't. We were to caught up in the moment. So we all looked for it and I found it right away it was right in front of my face. My dad was questioning how we didn't find it since it was right in my face but he shrugged if that thought because we told him we were so cold we couldn't move. That was half true. We were really cold and we didn't want to move. We started walking back across the street to the car to start the next one when I got to thinking.
I was so surprised Michael didn't push me away when I put my hands on his but instead he pulled me closer. Did he like me like I like him?
We started the treacherous hike up the steep trail with me in the front, then Michael, Roger, and last my dad. Michael and I were far enough ahead of everyone we were able to talk and touch hands again. Michael asked if I was serious about my feelings because he didn't want to rusk anything for nothing. When I told him yes he squeezed my hand telling me this wasn't over.
