Prompt: Reader gets kidnapped! Jin saves the day and fluff ensues.

Requested by Emilia_The_Ghost Thanks for the request! Hopefully the fluff is adequate enough UwU

Note: I decided to go with pre-trauma Jin.

My shoulder is cramping again. I readjusted as best I could to no avail. My arms were bound behind my back by what felt like a rope. It dug into my skin tightly, though, trying to cut it with the freezing wall behind me didn’t help. If not for the feeling of something wrapped around my head, covering my eyes, I would have thought that I was trapped in a perpetually darkened room. I have no idea how long I’ve been here. It could have been hours or months, I couldn’t tell.

I sighed as the back of my head hit the wall. Thinking logically, it couldn't be more than a few days. I hadn't been offered food or water once since I've been here. Just thinking about food made my stomach knot and turn. How long can people survive without water? Three or four days, right?

Sometimes, footsteps and voices would echo into the room. The first few times, I tried imagining who they might belong to. I didn’t see them when they nabbed me. Everything happened so fast. A deep, gravely voice caught my attention, but I couldn't quite make out what he was saying. I nicknamed that voice eye-patch man, even though he probably didn't have one. The way he talked simply reminded me of a pirate and the name stuck. It wasn't like I had anything else to go off of.

Why am I here? Once again, the back of my head hit the wall. I tried piecing my day together like a jigsaw puzzle, searching for some sort of answer.

It was a nice day. The sun was shining and the smell of water from a nearby water fountain perfumed the air. A chime from a nearby school sounded, signaling that it was time to go home. The plastic bags in my hands were beginning to feel heavy as I walked the all too familiar streets to my house. I had plans to surprise my boyfriend with dinner and I was headed on my way back from the store.

He had seemed so distant lately. Jin usually visited my house daily, but his presence grew sparse with each passing day. I tried to talk about it and he waved it off. "I'll explain everything soon. I'm just not ready yet." I remember him saying those words. I'm sure to him, that was meant to be comforting, and put my mind at ease. It didn't. If anything, it made me worry and speculate even more.

The surprise was supposed to be our turning point. Things were a bit rocky right now. Every relationship has its occasional bump. I planned on making him something nice, show him that I care and he could trust me with whatever it is he had to say. Then, we'd clear the air and everything would be better. A happy ending.

My heart sunk and my chest grew heavy. It was hard to breathe. When I finally managed to take a breath, it was shaky and weak. The fabric tied around my eyes soaked up my tears. The next part of my day was a mistake. I walked down a narrow alley— a shortcut home that I seldom took. A set of hands grabbed onto my arms, ten fingers dug into my skin. Their grip burned like fire. A veil of blackness obscured my vision. I tried to call for help. A hero, a police officer, Jin, it didn't matter which one. Anyone would have done. Something covered my mouth, and my screams were muffled instantly.

I was forced into a car. There, they tied my arms behind my back. The sound of the engine humming and gruff voices laughing and muttering amongst themselves, and my light sobbing were the only things that accompanied me during the ride. Eventually, I was thrown into a cold room. My body slammed against cement and my head practically bounced off the floor as soon as I made contact. I forced myself onto my knees and felt around with my shoulder. It took time, but I eventually found the wall that I'm now leaning against.
