Sarah dropped her hand quickly away from her cheek remembering the feeling of her mums warm bony finger on her cheek that night. She smiled closing her eyes remembering her index finger gently catching her tear, and putting it in the corner of her eye.
She felt sad. She missed her mother, her mum that taught her everything, how to survive, live, read, write, she had learnt more things from her mum than any school day. How she wished her mum was still alive, and she would say sorry for hating her when she leaved her and died yo be given away to the place, the memory of the long winter night, and ranging snow storm hurt her head and heart, the snow storm being buried alive. And found in the warm comfortable hospital room miles away from her mountain home. She had been airlifted her mum was alive too, the nurse had said her mum was a strong women and had pushed through it, and was asking to see her.
Sarah remembered feeling happy.
" so can I see her".
The nurse had smiled and patted her head.
" soon".The warm memory faded leaving the feeling of her mum bony fingers on her palm. That hateful night that had really made Sarah stronger and taught her not to cry. After all tears did nothing.
If turned to the hot summer day and the weird scene with the boy and her damaged car.
Sometimes she thought of that night in her dreams when the ghost of the past visited her haunted her. And made her feel nothing but a hollow can tipped sideways never to be full again.Sarah felt the same feeling now, on the cloud less sky she felt a storm Breewing.
The sense that something huge and big was comming. As Sarah glanced at the sky she wasn't suprised to see fast moving clouds dott the sky. Blocking any avaible blue and swallowing it whole with there black darkness. In the empty intersection, a traffic light bordered the dide of the fiscal on the green fields of rural farmland. As she sensed the storm comming. She shivered on her spot. Swivelling her head to see the ranging clouds.
" Storm", she whispered.
The boy nodded. Gripping her arm.
" Deffitally a big one".She swivelled her head to glance at the boy better.
Another habit she had, no one really noticed it.
The boy shuffled uncomfortably, his pale skin shown in the evening light with what did filter through the cloak of dark clouds, that shadowed the afternoon skyline." What's the time?", she asked.
Noticing the watch on the boys wrist it had a stiff rubber band but a gold head of the watch, the
ticking along slowly though time was purposely going slow so the time they had together was
longer. She stared at him, wondering how anyone could be that perfect. She looked at wonder at his pressed white skirt pinkish with blood, at his dark denim jeans, and shiny shoes and his perfect raven black hair short and curly at the top of his face. She didn't think he would be around here, he looked too rich and fancy for that. But she wondered still how she recognised the beautiful blue eyes and that smug smile before. She was afraid to ask the question, afraid she would seem mad, or crazier than she already was. She didn't Need one more person to think she was mad, she couldn't deal with it.She stared at his features the way his eyes widened when he saw her studying him.
Those perfect perfect features, she wondered if he was real. As he was too perfect to be real, she punched herself to make sure the frown buzzing on his lips as he watched her pinch herself.
His features went blurry, then came into focus." I know you", she whispered.
The boy glanced at her darkly. His blue eyes suddenly became gloomy as if he had a secret to hide and didn't want her to know. Even though he looked dark and scary now, and Sarah knew she should run. She ignored her instincts and came closer to him, there noses almost touching,
she could smell his sweet warm breath, his beautiful full pink lips.He shaved her away harshly.
" Don't sweetheart, don't entice me".
Her heart beat widely at his sudden harsh words and push.
His touch left her tingling for more and she arched her neck.
