"Wait is she dead?" Yelled a Major insensitively.
"Ha! Ha!" Jordan knew that was Van's laugh. It disgusted him. It was the same evil laugh that tortured Minors and push them to thoughts of death.
"Why are you defending these worthless minors anyways Size 9?" Van said
"Because who's fault is it that these shoes are beaten up because of our own self righteous judgment of right and wrong?"
"Come on Size 9 you're thinking too much."
Then he put on that same evil grin again.
"Why would the shoemaker waste his time making these shoes if they didn't have some kind of worth or purpose?"
"What are you talking? Majors are first because we have a purpose, minors are last because they have no purpose! They are unimportant!"
The crowd agreed.
"So they are just here to boost your self confidence?! Which you obviously have too much of. Or maybe your not sure of yourself so you look for purpose in pushing them down!"
"Look Jordan! You can defend these minors all you want but you can't change the fact that Majors are first then the minors!"
Just before Jordan was going to say something back, Mr.TimberLand walked in.
"What is going on out here!"
The crowd quickly turned to Van for an answer.
"Yo Mr.Tim! Me and Jordan here were teaching this minor a lesson because she killed this blue shoe, whom I loved so dearly."
"Wait-wha-" Jordan said but was interrupted by Mr.TimberLand.
"So this is the dirtbag who killed that blue shoe!"
"Yup." Van said confidently with that same grin on his face.
"So we taught her a lesson. Isn't that right crowd!" The crowd agreed.
"Wait! No! I killed him! I did it and they beat her up because she did what we do to them!" Jordan tried to explain.
"Oh, don't pay mind to Jordan, he's still a little shuck up about the whole situation"
"I'm not! I'm perfectly fine! She didn't do it!" The tears from Jordan's eyes weren't helping him.
"It's ok, Jordan. Just go home for today."
"But I did it!"
Van interrupted Jordan.
"I'll walk him home Mr.T"
"Thank you Van. I'll deal with this dirtbag after I take her to the hostipal"
Van struggled to get Jordan away from the scene but Jordan finally gave in and started to walk home.

They didn't start to talk until they got a far enough distance from the school where no one could her them.
"What was that all about Jordan!"
Jordan didn't look at Van or say anything, he just looked down at the ground. Jordan was finally feed up with the Major's actions.
"So your just going to not talk to me again! Well forget you! I thought we were going to be best friends! I thought we were in this together! Jordan glanced at Van and saw his tears flowing.
"You know I never had one friend who accepted me like you did. I always had to change my character to get friends because I thought I wasn't good enough. But you thought I was good enough and you became my first real friend. Now your trying to question my entire life!" Jordan could tell Van was speaking from his heart but he hated the fact that he was trying to defend his actions with some kind of a backstory.
"Oh! Stop throwing yourself a pity party Van! Twinkle Toes is dead for all we know!"
"You know what! It's not me who has to change now! It's you! Your different! Forget you!"

Van stomped off and Jordan stood where he was.
