Kinoshita had just gone to the mailbox and gotten his mail. He walked inside his house flipping through various envelopes most of the containing bills. He stopped on a envelope that was a familiar color combination, orange and navy blue.
He opened it up and read what it said.

(Letter)
Dear Kinoshita Hisashi.
We formally invite you to the class of 2013 reunion.
Please RSVP and mark down if you will be bringing a plus one.

He stared at the letter and Reread it several times.
He stopped and stared at the sentence saying.
(mark down if you will be bringing a plus one.)
It felt like that sentence was mocking him.
It had been ten years and he had never managed to settle down. Tanaka and Ennoshita had gotten together shortly after graduation and Noya and Asahi had been together since before Asahi graduated.
He sat at his kitchen table thinking about the fact that he felt lonely. He had tried dating several different times but things never worked out.
The only other person he knew who had stayed single was Narita. Admittedly he had a crush on him In high school but had always been to nervous and self-conscious to tell him.
He continued to look at the letter. His phone went off. He picked it up and saw it was Narita calling him. It was odd not only because had just been thinking about him but because they hadn't really spoken that much to each other over the last couple years. He took a breath and answered it.
Kinoshita: hello?
Narita: Hey it's been a while.... did you get the letter about the reunion next month?
Kinoshita: yeah I have it in my hand actually.
Narita: i was thinking we could ride together if you'd want ? I can pick you up.
Kinoshita was quiet for a second. His heart raced a little bit before answering.
Kinoshita: Yeah that's probably a good idea.
Narita: Okay I'll pick you up around 5:30.
Kinoshita hung up. He let out a heavy sigh and put his head down on the table.
"I'm not good enough for him." He whispered.
