A man who is truly interested in a women will find an endless number of reasons why he must see her. A man who is just playing around-or confused about his feelings-will find an endless number of excuses why he didn't show up.

I looked out the window. The sky was tar-black and the large clouds were moving towards me. I heard a tapping on the window and then it became a pitter-patter. Puddles began plinking as the rainfall became heavier. The roofs of the cars danced with spray and I could hear the murmuring of the rain through the window. It sounded like the buzzing of angry bees.

As the rain grew heavier I began not to see a damn thing. I was getting irritable as I and Ariana argued and not seeing anything on the road wasn't helping either. I sigh obnoxiously as look at Ariana.

"Just admit it! We are lost because of you." She says with a scoff. I sucked my tooth.

"I'm sorry who is the one reading from a map again? Ariana, I'm getting directions from your stupid ass! You got us lost!" I retort. She just folds her arms as she rolls her eyes.

"You gave me the map do I look like Dora the Explorer?!" She retorts back.

"Matter of a fact yes you look like Dora the Explorer. Where is boots?" I replied, she rolls her eyes.

"Next to me getting us lost as usual." She mumbled under her breath.

"I didn't get us lost! You got us lost!" I snapped. She took a deep breath waving me off. I looked around to see if I could see any sign or restaurant but I couldn't it was practically raining cats and dogs. I chewed on my lip worrying.

"I don't understand how did we get lost it's a fucking deserted desert," I grumbled. "How do we get from a city to a desert?" I mumbled to myself.

"Oops." I heard Ariana say. I looked at her as she had the "yikes" face.

"What did you do this time?" I asked.

"So um I may have like read the map backward." She said. My jaw clenched. I gripped the steering wheel tightly.

"You dumb ass-

I paused myself from calling her a bitch. I wanted to slap her. How can somebody be so dumb to read a map backward?!

"And we were arguing for an hour about who got us lost, now who looks stupid," I grumbled. I grabbed my phone seeing it still has no bars. I'm so pissed. Ariana had this great idea for us to go on a "romantic" date because all we do is argue. Her dumbass got us driving to God who knows where!

"I'm sorry." She softly spoke.

"Oh now your sorry." I chuckled.

"Let's not look at the worse we can make this bad situation turn into a good situation." She said. I sighed.

"Come on, let's not turn this into a stranded movie. Ariana try to get bars or something." I said to her. She sighed as she pulls out her phone.

One Hour later

It was nearly midnight, and the night sky was picturesque. A black to navy gradient was the backdrop for a full moon; the night sky so clear you could almost see every crater. The moon, a glowing yellowy white, loomed large, surrounded by an ethereal glow. Millions of stars were sprinkled behind it, a few large ones but mostly a multitude of little white pin pricks.
