Destiny^

It was him. He was my mate. He had to be. This is what they all described it to be. But I was told I couldn't have a mate because of what I am . Ugh this is so frustrating! I can't think! I need to go for a run. 

I quickly left the building, heading for the woods. I ran to a little pond, and stripped there, leaving my clothes in a pile underneath a tree next to my school books. I ran, shifting mid run. I let Diana (Dee-anna), my wolf, take over, leading us through the woods. 

We stopped at a new creek for a drink, and decided to go for a swim too. We romped around in the water for a while, then got out, figuring it was about time to head back to the pack house. I took control and shook our fur out, freezing as I heard a growl.

My hackles rose, and I lowered myself into a fighting position, sniffing the air for the scent. There were three scents, none of them familiar. I shifted into my human form, calling out.

"Who's there. I demand you show yourself." I shouted, my back against a tree. Slowly, a large brown wolf emerged with two smaller ones behind it. 

"Shift." I commanded, letting some of my authority come through my voice. They shifted, revealing a man of about 20, a small girl of about 13, and an even smaller boy who only looked to be about 7. 

"We mean no harm ma'am, we're just passing through." The man spoke, bringing the children to his sides. 

"What are your names?" I asked, taking in their bedraggled form.

The man grit his teeth. "Please ma'am. Just let us pass through. We are no threat, and we're actually in a hurry. So please, just let us pass." he said. Glancing behind him and sniffing the air. 

"Not until you tell me who you are and what you're running from. I may be able to help you, so please, tell me your story."

"We aren't safe!" he shouted. "We need to keep moving or he'll take them and  kill them! Please! It's my job to protect them I promised! Now get out of my way or I'll make you! I don't want to hurt you!" he cried. 

"One. Stop yelling at me I haven't done anything to you. Second, come with me. My Alpha will protect you. When we reach the pack, we can get you guys taken care of, and you can tell us your story, and tell me who these little cuties are. Third, I won't be the one getting hurt, you will. Try it." I growled as my eyes flashed purple and I used more command. 

"How do you know your Alpha will protect them? How do you know he won't turn them over? I can't let them go back. They'll get killed and I promised!" he said. 

" I am the Alpha! Now follow me before I get my warriors involved! I have other things to take care of as well. I have a whole damn pack to take care of! Now I want to help you but you are making it hella difficult to be able to! Just follow me. In your human form." I shouted back, my anger flaring. 

"Yes ma'am." he said. Grabbing the two children and placing them on his back. 

"Wait. You look tired enough as it is. Give me the children." I said carefully.

"I-I'm sorry Alpha, no can do. Besides they're really heavy. It's even difficult to me."

"First off, don't call me Alpha. My name is Destiny, but my entire pack pretty much just calls me D, unless we have another pack or important officials visiting. Second off, I'm not your normal werewolf. I can handle it. I'll shift, you put them on my back. You can get on too."

"N-no! That would be too much for you!"

"Don't tell me what I can and cannot handle. Now, once I shift, put the kids on my back and hop on after." I growled, shifting into my large midnight wolf. I was pure muscle, and I knew it. Being a Tribrid , I was stronger and more advanced than the others. I stood still as the male put the kids on my back, then waited for him to get on. When he didn't I turned to look at him. He was staring into the woods, sniffing the air.

"Shit, there close." he said. Then, turning to me he said "Run, I'l hold them off."  He shifted hackles raised and began to move away from me, towards where he was looking. I growled at him and shifted back. 

"Get your ass on my back. My pack borders aren't that far. They can't cross my packs borders. I'll have a squad waiting for us now get you ass on." I growled, leaving no room for an argument. I shifted back and crouched as the children scrambled back on. I turned to look at him and he whimpered, looking at the pups. Then with a yip, he moved to run towards the danger. 

I growled. Why the hell does he have to make things difficult? I jumped after him, my large wolf towering over his, and grabbed him by the skin on the back of the neck. He wasn't a pup, so he didn't have a lot of extra skin. I knew it was going to leave a mark, but the dumb ass should've just listened to me. I ran towards our pack borders, mind linking my Beta to get a team together and meet me at the South line.

I bolted over the borders, knowing that the spell I cast wouldn't allow them to pass no matter what. If they crossed they would be burnt by a feeling like that of silver or wolfsbane. I ran until I reached the pack house, where some of my pack mates were waiting to escort the children and the male to a room in the Alpha house. 

"Please have guards at every entrance just to be safe." I said to my Gamma, Royce. He nodded, question in his eyes. "I'll explain at the meeting later. Thank you Royce." I began heading toward the pack house to get something to eat. I felt very dizzy all of the sudden, my vision fading in and out. The last thing I saw was my pack mates running toward me.
