"Oh god! Suman where were you?" Kanchan asked as she hugged her sister.

"I am fine Kancha." Suman said hugging her back.

"I didn't ask 'how are you', I asked 'where were you'." Kanchan said.

"What do you mean? Aren't you happy that I'm safe?" Suman asked trying change the topic, not wanting to tell Kanchan about her decision.

"I know you will be safe because Shravan was with you." Kanchan said and Suman blushed a little and then looked at Shravan who was busy talking with Avni.

"What happened? Why are you blushing?" As soon as Kanchan said this Shravan looked at Suman smirking.

"Leave it Kancha. Let me go and talk to Avni. After all I'm meeting her after 7 years." Suman said and went to Avni and talked with her for sometime while Shravan went to Kanchan.

"What did you do to my sister?" She asked crossing her hands near her chest.

"What? I haven't done anything." Shravan lied.

How does she know?

"She is happy, Shravan. I haven't seen her this much happy in these 7 years." Kanchan said and looked at her sister who was busy talking with Avni. Shravan followed Kanchan's gaze and smiled looking at Suman.

"You know after bade papa's death, Suman gave her best to take care of this family. But badi ma was always sick and soon she passed away too, Suman tried to find her happiness in Dadu. But he always pushed her away because she ran away with you." Kanchan said still looking at Suman. Shravan kept listening to her.

"After 3 years, Dadu also passed away and so did Suman's hope of being happy again." Kanchan wiped a lone tear that escaped her eyes without her permission.

"My mom also started treating her as a burden, Suman was not a fool to not realize this. So she went away from home and stayed in the dorms of Cantt, but papa brought her back. She was lost. She never gave out any emotions. She was too numb to react. She was getting mentally unstable until you came back." Kanchan said and looked at Shravan.

"You brought the old Suman back. And I will forever be grateful to you for that." Kanchan said and gave a genuine smile to Shravan who returned the the smile.

"I am happy that I came back. I got back everything that I lost years ago." Shravan said and both of them again looked at Suman.

"Why are you both looking at me?" Suman asked looking at them.

"N-nothing." They both said and sat down on the sofa. All of them busy in talking not realizing someone's glare at them.

"Suman!"

"Chachi..." Suman stood up followed by everyone.

"Where were you, huh? How dare you leave this house without informing me!?" Beena shouted at her.

Shravan saw Suman fisting her palms, trying to control her anger. Shravan looked at Avni and signalled her to go.

"Avni, wait. You don't have to go anywhere." Suman stopped her.

"Suman, do you have any idea how much money we have been spending on you!?" Beena continued shouting. Shravan was loosing his control. Before he could say anything, Avni held his hand stopping him.

"Maa, enough!" Kanchan tried to stop her mother.

"Kancha, don't interfere when I'm talking." Beena scolded her.

"I am going." Suman said, not loudly but loud enough for everyone to here.

"What? You just came back and now you are going!?" Beena said.

"I am going away. From this house. From you." Suman said and looked at Beena.

"Where will you go, huh? You don't have enough money to go and stay alone." Shravan was trying so hard to keep his anger to himself.

Avni noticed how lonely Suman was, how she was treated in her own home and by her own family.

"I am not a child anymore, Chachi! For God's sake, I am an Army Officer.  I am not a child. Oh, wait. I was never a child to you, why? Because I have always been a burden to you." Suman shouted back, lost her patience.

"Suman, shut up!" Beena shouted.

"No, you shut up! I lost everyone Chachi, everyone. I thought that you will treat me as your own child, but no! Suman is this, Suman is that. Suman made us loose our self-respect in the society, why? Because she ran away with Shravan. Yes I ran away with him, because..." She broke down before completing her sentence.

She has never raised her voice on elders, but today. Today she lost all her self control which she was controlling from god knows how many years.

"Sumo--" Shravan went towards her, to console her but she stopped him.

"Shravan, not now. You've always stood for me, but not today." Suman said and wiped her tears.

He stepped back, knowing that his Suman is strong enough to handle herself.

"I ran away with him because I was looking for my happiness, but who knew from that day my life will get doomed. Shravan has always been my happiness, he still is." She said the last part slowly and smilingly.

She stood up for herself, for them.

Shravan looked at her proudly. Avni and Kanchan both smiled at each other, knowing that maybe all the bad days of their life has finished.

Knowing that this time they are forever.

"So that is why I have decided to move out of this house. I am shifting. Whatever you want to do with this house.... You can do." Suman said giving a look over her house.

"But Suman-" Kanchan tried to say something but Suman stopped her.

"I have already found a house. I was looking for that only since early morning." Suman said clearing her sister's doubts.

"And I will return all your money." Suman said and left the room followed by the other three leaving Beena standing there.
