This is weird. I hadn't had a crush on anyone besides Gregory for 3 years. I mustn't have a crush on this newbie- for he isn't worth it. My love for Gregory was much stronger then this little phase...Oh who am I kidding. You should have seen him- dreamy brown eyes, soft swishy black hair, big veiny muscles, and to top it off- a sexy french accent. Pier was his name. I couldn't stop thinking of him when he ran into me in the hallway. The way he looked at me...it was different. Different then any look I've seen before. But I mustn't think this- I have an amazing guy waiting for me at home, my dear Gregory. I must write him, I thought. This will remind me of my love for him and get rid of these ridiculous feelings. "Wake up, sleepy head. You've been lying there for 30 minutes staring at the ceiling." Gigi grabbed my blankets and threw them on the floor. "Well bonjour." I said lightly, rubbing my eyes. She laughed. "How was your first day?" She said applying her mascara. She wore a thick amount- almost like spiders were living on her lashes. She wore a beautiful rosy pink blush and a nude lip color. I myself didn't wear much. A little foundation and mascara does the trick for me. "It was okay- little hard to understand some things with the French accents, but I'll learn." I said, climbing out of bed slowly. She chuckled. "Well believe it or not, I'm not french. I learned the language years ago, when I was little. I learned English first, and french right after. The accent just kinda grew on me, and now it's a habit." She starting grabbing her things. "You coming?" She said. "Hang on." I applied a coat of mascara, grabbed my things, and ran out the door. We went to the breakfast hall. They had a very big buffet of food, full of bacon, eggs, french toast, waffles, everything you could imagine. I went in line, and the first person I saw was Pier. I swallowed. "Bonjour, miss. How did you sleep?" He said, scooping eggs onto his plate. "Well, thank you. You?" I said, almost dropping my spoon. He laughed. "Very well, mercí." He grabbed his tray and left. I followed, trying to show him that I wanted to sit with him. "Would you like to join me?" He said, pointing to the seat next to him. "Certainly." I said. We talked for a while about our hobbies, interests, and things we liked. We had many things in common, and he made me laugh a lot. "We should do this again sometime." He said, grinning. I agreed. It was the best time I'd had in a while, even when I was with Gregory back home. Oh my. Gregory. He must be hurting so much right now. I, even thinking of liking another man, am a disgrace to our relationship. I must write him immediately. When I get back to my dorm, I grab a notepad and a pen and start writing.
My love Gregory,
I miss you dearly. You don't know how rough it's been on me being away from you. But I have realized something. I am deeply in love with you- and I always will be. You are the love of my life. When I get back, we can get married. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, and I know you feel the same. I love you Gregory. Always have, always will. I'll get my father to start planning our wedding. It will be great! Until we meet again....
Love,
SherrieI folded the letter and put it in an envelope. I licked it shut and placed it in the mailbox. I know this will get my mind off of Pier- a wedding.

A few days later, I had received a letter from Gregory. I ripped it open with excitement, tearing the letter a little. My sweet, sweet Sherrie,
I miss you so much. You are the love of my life, of course we can get married! My mother, Mary Anne and plan the wedding so don't worry! I'll be here when you get back, my darling. Then we will spend our lives together.
Love,
Your dear GregoryI kissed the letter and spilled everything to Gigi. You could tell she thought I was crazy for wanting to marry so young, but this is the only way I can keep my focus off of Pier. She then said something that upset me deeply. "But you and Pier..." The room went silent. I didn't answer, not because I didn't want to, but because I didn't know how to. "What about me and Pier?" I laughed. "You guys had an amazing connection... I saw it. You can't pretend you didn't see it... didn't feel it-" She paused. She looked upset- as in she knows something I don't. Does Pier have feelings for me? Should I ask? "Why does this upset you so much?" I ask angrily. "Because I feel like your making a huge mistake." She exclaimed. I looked at her with disgust, "You don't even know me." I said, and stormed out of the room. There was a part of me that thought she was right- that we did have a connection and that I was making a mistake. I shook my head. I can't let this change my mind, I love Gregory. As soon as I get back to Manhattan, he and I will be getting married.
