Athanasia opened her eyes, then immediately closed them again. It was too early to be awake and she was still sleepy. She rolled over on her bed and was about to drift back to sleep when a realization hit her. Today was her birthday. Her nineteenth birthday in fact. There was no way she was gonna oversleep on her birthday.

Every time it was her birthday, the maids would always make her chocolate cakes. Lily would come to her room, and wished her a happy birthday. Lily has always been the first person to wish her a happy birthday for years. Then she would get dressed and have a little birthday party with the other maids, though it wouldn't last very long since she had tea time with her dad.

She sighed. What was he gonna gift her this time? His gifts were always... Much. Wether it be more gardens, dresses, or anything else. She knew that was just his way of showing her affection but sometimes she felt like it was too much.

This year she was going to have a birthday party with her friends. Well, it was only gonna be a small party with the girls she usually invited for tea. She wanted to invite Jeanette, since Athy kinda felt bad for her, but both Lucas and her dad were against it.

She loved her birthdays. But now, because she was getting older, stupid marriage proposals are starting to appear. Her father always rejected them thankfully.

She did say that she didn't want to get married, but she knew she would have to eventually. Because if she died before having a child then who would rule over Obelia? Yes, she did oppose to the idea of marriage but things can... Change. Specifically it changed on her eighteenth birthday, the night Lucas first kissed her. Surprisingly her dad didn't really do anything about their relationship, though she knew he was unhappy about it, Athy told him that no matter what, he will still always be number one, which seemed to convince him to let them be.

She still felt really sleepy. Damnit, she shouldn't have stayed up late last night. But that book she read was really interesting. Though, when she tried the spell for herself it didn't work so that was a waste.

Alright, it's time to get up she thought as she cleared away her thoughts. She tried to sit up.

She couldn't.

She tried again. And again. Her body felt oddly weak. She was starting to panick now. Was Lucas pranking her?

"Lucas it's not funny!"

Is what she tried to say. But instead, what came out was gibberish. Her voice also sounded weird.

"Lucas! Whatever you did, undo it now!" She screamed angrily at the ceiling. But all that came out was more gibberish. Like a baby's blabbering.

Athy was about to say something again but then she noticed something. This wasn't her room.

She looked around. It wasn't her room in the Emerald Palace, but it was oddly familiar...

It was her old room in the Ruby Palace. Why the hell was she here? She tried to move her arms. Fortunately, she was able to. But when she saw her hands, she started to panick even more. Why were they so small? Like a baby's hand.

She froze. No, this was not happening. Go back to sleep. She was just having a weird dream. But something tells her that this wasn't just a dream.

"Ah, Princess, you're awake!" Someone said. Athy knew that voice.

'Lily!' She tried to call her but like the previous times, all that came out of her mouth was baby noises.

This wasn't supposed to happen. She was supposed to celebrate her nineteenth birthday for gods sake, not wake up to find herself a baby again.
