"Happy birthday" Dixie said as Noah woke up. As usual Dixie had been awake for awhile already but getting out of bed at 9 months pregnant was more effort than it was worth so instead she sat on her phone surrounded by hundreds of pillows. "Thank you Bub" Noah said leaning over and kissing Dixie. Noah's bed head and morning voice was most attractive thing, morning breath however is not. "Breakfast?" Noah asked ignoring the fact that it was his 20th birthday. "No let me do it. It's your birthday" Dixie argued. "Dix' you're 38+ weeks pregnant you are not making breakfast for me on your own" Noah responded sternly. Dixie stuck her bottom lip out, making Noah think he'd won his battle. "Can I at least help?" Dixie said not giving in. She really was stubborn. "Okay" Noah got out of bed and helped Dixie up.
On top of it being Noah's birthday they were releasing the photos from the shoot with Bryant. As much as Noah was excited about his fans finding out he was very protective and if anyone said something he didn't like he wasn't sure how he'd react. If it didn't go down well it wasn't like they could go back and change their minds.
They were at the Sway house and Noah was opening his present. There was a knock at the door. Bryce got up to open the door. Dixie would have done it but shocker...
She couldn't actually move from the couch. Then after the sound of the front door shutting Noah's family walked around the corner. Noah looked up with both surprises and joy in his eyes. "Happy birthday!" Haley, Tatum and Noah's parents said. "I thought you weren't coming for two weeks" Noah said hugging his mom. "We thought it might be a nice surprise, plus it was Dixie's idea" Tatum explained winking at Dixie. Noah had been so caught up with everything and the baby he hadn't had time to see his family. He hadn't realised how much he'd missed them until he saw them. They were only staying for a few days but they were coming back after the baby was born so he wouldn't have to wait long."When are we posting the photos?" Noah asked Dixie as he watched her scroll through Instagram. "I was going to ask you but we can do it now if you want" Dixie answered looking up from her phone.
Both looking at each other for reassurance they both pressed 'post'. Within a few moments the posts were up and already getting likes. "Birthday surprise" Noah captioned the post. As expected it blew up. Noah and Dixie had to turn their phones off because they were lagging from the mass of notifications.
There was mixed reactions. Some people were very excited and happy for them while others said they were bad role models. They said Noah and Dixie were setting a bad example to their younger audience. They didn't care though, it wasn't like they could go back on their decision. It was too late now.
As it was Noah's birthday and they probably wouldn't be able to go out for dinner for a while they were going out for dinner with their friends. Dixie looked amazing as she walked down the stairs in her black two piece outfit. She'd really tried to put effort in especially for Noah's birthday. Noah appreciated it. To prevent world war 3 with the paparazzi they went through the back of the restaurant instead.
Noah held Dixie's hand as they walked through the restaurant. "Happy birthday Noah" Thomas said to Noah. "God! I hate paparazzi, it's hell out there" Addison said dramatically walking in with Bryce. "Thanks to you Dix they're now asking if I'm next" Addison said half joking half annoyed. Dixie laughed. Addison really was dramatic sometimes.
While Noah was talking to everyone and being a social butterfly Dixie was trying to smile. Something felt off but she tried to ignore it. Dixie just felt uncomfortable. She was trying to enjoy it but it's hard when you're constantly getting waves of pain. "You okay?" Noah said noticing Dixie was clearly not relaxed. "My backs just hurting a bit that's all" Dixie said not wanting to panic Noah. He'd already been stressed enough with the whole breached baby situation. That situation had been dealt with though and Dixie had the all clear for a natural birth assuming nothing else happened. She tried to enjoy the meal but she was struggling. She couldn't sit still. Dixie didn't want to cause a scene though, especially not in public so she didn't say anything. Addison was looking at her though. It was also Noah's birthday and she didn't want to spoil it for him by being dramatic. Addison was concerned about Dixie. She looked ill. Noah hadn't noticed. He was talking to other people and was facing away from her. Hoping it would just go away Dixie put up with the discomfort. It wasn't like she was dying or needed to go to hospital. She was probably just overreacting in her head. If this didn't go away it was going to be a long night.
