CHAPTER SIX

Dave's POV - Saturday 18 January 2020

I'm stuck, I don't know how my mama knows Vira for 7 years and I never met her before until lastnight, ontop of that my babygirl calls her mama. When I went to my parents house this morning and saw identical twins I thought, which one of my cousins dropped their lil bad ass kids off, but the manners these little boys have blew my mind. When I called out for my mama I heard lil butt screaming from the kitchen and I made my way there. The way she exclaimed my name with a big ass smile on her face made everything clearer now, I dont want to do this touring shit anymore, I can't be leaving babygirl for so long anymore. I also didn't miss the way the twins interacted with her and protected her, they also corrected her when she said or did something wrong, this caused me to smile. Whoever their parents are, are doing a damn good job.

Now seeing who their mother is I understand, Vira has this kind of humbleness to her that you see when you just look at her, and I think lil butt sees it too cause babygirl is attached, now I know who she be talking about when she tells me about her mama, I always just thought she was talking about her grandma or a ghost. I'm not even mad at her for calling Vira mama, because the way she's holding my lil butt, caressing her and giving her kisses here and there, that's exactly what she is.

"Dave you okay?" I heard from beside me along with a touch of a delicate hand on my knee.

"What you say mamas?" I asked turning my attention on her, she smiled and shook her head at me "you doing it again" she said.

Looking at her confused I asked "doing what?"

"You zoning out again" came her reply with a lip bite, trying to stifle her giggle.

Smiling and shaking my head "sorry mamas, I was just thinking"

Lunch went so well that I now had three kids in my car, Kairi wanted to leave with me and the twins refused to leave her side, they fussed over her the entire lunch, making sure she was fine and giving her pieces of fruit to eat here and there.

I was surprised when they said they were leaving with me, even more surprised when Vira didn't fight it. Turning into my driveway I saw Bully's car parked next to my spot with him still sittingin the drivers seat. Switching my car off I hopped out and went to the backseat to get the kids out, with lil butt in my arms and the boys on either side of me, we made our way to the front door.

Bully stood there with a raised eyebrow looking at the twins on either side of me, shrugging one shoulder I gave him the keys to unlock the door. Once inside I made my way upstairs to lay a sleeping Kairi down and you guessed it, the twins followed not missing a beat. Laying lil butt down on her bed the twins took a spot on either side of her once they took their shoes off.

"You guys gonna stay in here with her?" I asked looking at them.

"Yes sir" they answered together not taking their eyes of off her.

"Do you need anything before I go downstairs?" I asked once again.

"No sir" again they answered together still with their eyes not leaving princess. Folding my arms across my chest I just had to ask, more like state the obvious.

"You guys love her don't you." This caused them to turn their heads in my direction in slow motion, both of them just staring at me as if I just said the most dumbest shit ever, but they answered nonetheless.

"Yes sir" again with this weird shit.

"Why do you love her?" I questioned, I had to get this shit of my chest, these lil niggas weren't about to tag team my lil butt.

"She's our sister" they answered tilting their heads to the side giving me the 'are you dumb' look.

Rolling my eyes at them I said "ok, ima be downstairs if you need anything", turning around I made it to the lounge and took a seat opposite of Bully.

"Salam bro, what's up?" I greeted him with a dap and leaned back onto the couch.

"Salam bro, you wanna tell me what that was all about." He said lighting up a blunt.

Rubbing on my beard I said "that's Vira's kids"

Giving me a confused look he said "Vira, am I suppose to know who that is?"

Shaking my head, I chuckled "Kuvira is lil mama I met at the club lastnight."

"Shitting me, you telling me shawty let you watch her kids and your'll just met lastnight."

Nodding my head I said "so check it, you remember before Kairi was born mama said she met this girl that had it rough."

Nodding his head he said "yeah, the one that always be by the house but never came out of the room" nodding my head he continued "but what's that gotta do with those tho"

"Vira was the one mama was talking about" I said.

"Niggaaaa" he dragged "okay, okay so I assume shawty was at lunch too." Nodding my head again he asked "so how you come home with her kids?"

"So get this, shawty and her kids were around Kairi since lil but was 3 weeks old, Kairi be calling her mama and the twins say that's their sister, princess wasn't feeling well during lunch and they refused to leave her side ever since" I explained taking a drag from the blunt he passed me.

"So you telling me, shawty been in my niece life nearly five years and you only met her lastnight?" He questioned.

"When you put it like that, it seems like some foul shit." I said thinking about it. "But she having Sunday lunch tomorrow, apparently she has one every Sunday, mama, pops and Kairi always go, and Kairi be sleeping over there sometimes too." Now that I really think about it, this really is some foul shit, how my mama...

"Aye, stop that" Bully stopped my train of thoughts "mama would never put my niece in harm's way, pops wouldn't either, so if Kairi be sleeping over there its means they trust her without a doubt."

"Man I know, it's just with me being on tour I just miss out on alot of shit you feel me, so much is happening in Kairi's life I dont know about, it's not like I can call her and ask her what's been happening, this is a time I gotta be present and make memories with her that she will treasure for the rest of her life" I vented to my bro.

"Heard juu, so what you tryna do about it?"

"Man I dont know, at this point I feel like saying just fuck it and leave this music shit, on the other hand I'm like maybe I should just take a break, focus on my daughter and the store" I answered honestly.

"I feel you, and you know I got you no matter what you decided."

"Preciate you bro" I said giving him dap.
