Chapter 14: Ask and Danger

As Taehyung and Jimin walked back toward the omega land, the atmosphere felt heavy with unspoken words. Jungkook had been called away for an urgent meeting, leaving Taehyung feeling a little lost.

"Where did he bring you while I was unconscious?" Jimin asked, casually holding Taehyung's left arm.

"H-he called it a date, hyung," Taehyung replied, his cheeks flushing at the memory.

"A date is for two people who want to get to know each other until they fall in love. Didn't you tell me you would be loyal to your mate?" Jimin inquired, his tone serious.

"You're right, hyung. But let's change the topic. Why is their land so advanced while mine feels so different? I'm jealous," Taehyung sighed, his gaze dropping to the ground.

"Because they had to do that to protect their land and make their lives easier. They are Alphas, after all," Jimin replied, a hint of sympathy in his voice.

"But hyung, Jungkook asked me if we could unite our lands. Isn't that a good idea?" Taehyung asked, hope shining in his eyes.

"You have to think about it, Tae. Do you trust him?" Jimin retorted, studying Taehyung's expression.

"Kind of," the omega muttered, uncertainty creeping into his voice.

"You need to think wisely. You don’t know what’s in his mind. He might take advantage of you," Jimin warned, his grip on the baby tightening.

"Okay, hyung, I understand," Taehyung smiled, trying to reassure Jimin as they walked.

 

Meanwhile, in a dimly lit room, Dongshik was receiving troubling news.

"Sir, I found out that Leader Kim and Park Jimin went to the Alpha land," one of his subordinates reported.

"What for?" Dongshik asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I don't know, sir, but we can see good and bad advantages from this," the subordinate replied.

"What do you mean?" Dongshik inquired, intrigued.

"The bad advantage is if they are having a meeting to unite, which would not be good for us. The good advantage is we can attack while they are gone. They won’t be able to defend their land, and the two Alphas protecting it will be less harmful to us."

"That’s right, but we’re not sure if they’ll continue going to the Alpha land," Dongshik said, his mind racing.

"I will keep collecting data about that, sir," the subordinate assured.

"Good, you can leave now," Dongshik commanded.

His assistant bowed and left the office, leaving Dongshik deep in thought.

 

The next day, Taehyung received a message from Jimin, asking him to meet outside of the omega land. Confused—since Jimin had warned him not to leave—Taehyung decided to ignore the warning and ventured out, baby in tow.

As he walked further away from his land, he felt a sense of unease creeping in, but he pressed on, determined to meet his friend.

Outside the castle, Jimin was playing with the baby when the butler approached him.

"Mr. Park, what are you doing here?" the butler asked, glancing at the child in Jimin's arms.

"Huh? What's the problem?" Jimin asked, standing up.

"Aren't you supposed to meet Leader Kim outside?" the butler retorted, confusion evident in his voice.

"What are you talking about?" Jimin grumbled.

"Leader Kim told me that you messaged him and asked him to wait outside the land."

"This is bullshit! I didn't message him!" Jimin growled, his eyes widening as he took off running.

He sprinted toward the location he had last seen Taehyung, panic rising in his chest. On his way, he encountered Jungkook, who was about to enter the omega land.

"What happened to him?" Jungkook asked urgently, noticing Jimin's frantic expression.

"L-leader Kim, h-he's in danger! Alpha Jeon!" the butler shouted, panic in his voice.

That was enough to trigger Jungkook's shift; in an instant, he transformed into his wolf form, sprinting after Jimin.

Jimin finally spotted Taehyung, and his heart sank. The omega was in a distressing situation—his shirt was ripped, and he was trying to shield himself with bruised arms. The baby was crying on the grass nearby.

“T-Taehyung!” Jimin called out, rushing toward him.

Taehyung limped forward, tears streaming down his face as he hugged Jimin tightly.

"Taehyung, what did they do to you?" Jimin asked, gritting his teeth, feeling a surge of anger.

The omega clutched Jimin's clothes tightly, trembling. "T-they hurt me," he sobbed, unable to look Jimin in the eye.

"Taehyung, tell me who did this?" Jimin demanded, his voice low but intense.

Taehyung bit his lip, remaining silent, which only fueled Jimin's frustration.

"Why aren't you speaking?! Tell me who did this?!" Jimin growled, forcing Taehyung to meet his gaze.

"Don't growl at him; you're scaring him!" Jungkook grumbled, pulling Taehyung away from Jimin's grip.

"What do you want me to do? He's not going to speak up!" Jimin retorted, clenching his jaw in frustration.

Jungkook held Taehyung's jaw gently, releasing calming pheromones to soothe the trembling omega. "Speak up, who did this to you?" he asked softly.

Taehyung shook his head, tears falling. "I-I don’t know; I-I don’t know them."

"Did they hurt you? Did they do something to you?" Jungkook pressed gently.

"T-they hurt me and a-almost raped me," Taehyung admitted, clutching Jungkook's shirt for comfort. "B-but they heard you and hyung coming, so they stopped and ran away."

Jungkook felt a surge of rage boiling within him. He pulled Taehyung closer, letting him breathe in his calming scent. "It's okay, you're safe now. This won't happen again. Trust me. They will pay for this, no matter what happens."

He whispered soothing words to calm Taehyung, who slowly began to relax against him. But as he pecked the omega's head gently, Taehyung unexpectedly fell asleep in his arms.

"Get that stupid watching us," Jungkook ordered, his voice low and dangerous.

Jimin's eyes flashed red as he spotted a shadow hiding behind a tree. The figure was about to flee, but Jimin used his speed to catch the person, landing a punch that knocked them unconscious.

"Namjoon hyung, take care of the baby," Jimin instructed, his gaze locked on the fallen figure.

Suddenly, a tall man landed on the ground after jumping off from the tree. "I understand," Namjoon replied, scooping up the baby securely in his arms.

Jimin focused on the unconscious figure, ready to extract some answers while Jungkook cradled Taehyung protectively.
