Lizzie's POV:
Me and Mika waited till dark. We packed our bags with food, water, clothing and a few weapons. I took my dads gun, knives, and a few flashlights and batteries. I slung the backpack over my shoulder and Mika doing the same. I led us out back. Mika followed close behind. She closed the back door as I went to the gate. I pushed the loose wooden plank open. Mika climbed through first. I followed behind. I pulled the plank down making it look the same.
We walked through the wooded area with my gun in hand. Mika close to me. We got to a open field."Mika lets run across the field to the other side. See the other wooded area that's where we are going." I told her putting my gun away pulling out a knife. I gave one to Mika.
"Okay." She nodded quietly whispered.
I started to run Mika running by my side. I held the knife with my right hand. No walkers so far. We made it all the way over to the wooded area. Mika and my legs were feeling like jelly. But, the sun was rising and we had to keep going. We slowed down and walked for a while. Slowly getting farther away from Woodbury.
By after noon we were miles and miles away from the town. We made it to the main road. We walked down the road. By dark we found a car and sat on the abandoned car roof. We opened our bags, Mika was pulling out food that's when I saw a group of walkers.
"Mika put the food away we have to go now." I said jumping of the roof.
Mika packed the bag and jumped off. When she did she sounded the car alarm. We got the walkers attention and they got faster heading towards us. We were about to run the other ways. We were trapped. I pulled out my gun standing in front of Mika. I shot a few walkers but they were closing in. I ran out of ammo and I pulled out my knife. We were down to the last couple. I killed three and there were two more. I was running up to them but I tripped. The walkers fell on top of me. Mika screamed my name. I heard a gunshot killing one of the walkers. I held my knife up and dropped the walker on me piercing its head killing it. Mika saw more walkers. I heard a voice and gunshots. I pushed the walkers off with all my strength. I stood up, someone grabbed our arms and pulled us across the street.
