Days of minimal chatter and straightening up the Manor followed. Daisy and I had chatted more, I had helped her with the creeky stairs and all sorts of things. Even though I had her company I still felt a little lonely. Maybe writing to Blaise will help? It's worth a try.

Just as I went to receive some parchment a knock on my window was heard. An owl? I grabbed the parchment and handed the unfamiliar owl some treats as I opened it and read.

Dear Draco Malfoy,
We are pleased to inform you that any 7th year graduates are welcome to return for an 8th year.

-Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

I sighed but knew this letter was coming. Our year got cut short so they had to repay us somehow.

I really didn't sleep much after waking up early this morning. I was already awake when mum told me breakfast was ready. I didn't hesitate to get up and wake him. He of course, was really out of it. "Ron, breakfast." I grumbled. He didn't do much so instead I screamed, "Ron there's a spider on your face!"

He jumped up suddenly and screamed. He suddenly stopped when he saw me, "Harry, I'm going to assume there is not a spider on my face. You better start running!" He boomed.

I hurried out of the room and down the stairs but didn't push past anyone. Heavy footsteps were coming from above and that's when I started hurrying.

I rushed and sat down at the table before anyone else and they were all staring. I whispered, "You'll understand in a second."

Soon enough Ron was downstairs and fuming. "How dare you lie to me and say there was a spider on my face! I believed you!" He shouted while the family broke put into laughter. "Why are you laughing!? It isn't funny!" He argued.

"When you guys are done with whatever this is, I have news for you Ron and Harry." Mum revealed. "What kind if news?" I asked curiously.

"Just some stuff about school. 7th year graduates are able to return for an 8th year. Nothing too fancy." She tries to say monotonously.

Ron looks up from his food with his mouth still pretty full "Wait.. is... joke?" I managed to make out. "Well for starters Ronald, don't talk with your mouthful and second, no. I got a letter this morning." Molly snaps back. "Can I see" I ask, wanting to confirm this. "Why of course." She cheers.

She hands it to me and I sit there amazed. "Merlin Ron, It's true! You should owl Hermione!" Ron snatches the letter from me "Merlin you're right!" He says as if he didnt hear what I said. "I need to owl 'Mione!" He exclaims.

He stuffs his mouth full if food and begins to leave before mum yells, "RONALD WEASLEY YOU BETTER TAKE CARE OF YOUR PLATE!"

He runs back down the stairs and rushes his plate to the sink and runs back up, excited to tell Hermione. I laugh a bit before returning to my own food. I take my plate and head to the kitchen.

"Do you plan on going back?" I nod but correct myself and say yes being polite. "How many do you think will go back?" She asks maintaining the conversation while we clean up. "Ever since the war the kids have been leaving so not many, especially since some already didn't plan on coming back." She sighs, "And well because some didn't make it."

I nod understanding, "But at least you will have Ron's friendly face there with you." She smiles.

~~~~~~
I owled Blaise. I asked him if he was going back or not. I was still contemplating because what else was there for me?
I picked up a book and begun reading so I wouldn't have to sit on the edge of my chair waiting all day. I was five chapters in my book when there was noise at the window. "Hey beautiful girl" I cooed to Blaise's owl. I hurried for some treats and fed it to the well-behaved owl. I took the letter she had dropped on my desk and opened it up.
He said it's probably better to go and take advantage of an extra year then not. I began to write back, 'So I know of one face I'll see back there'
Some days passed by awful slow in the Manor. I was usually doing the same thing or something related to it. Cleaning or reading, maybe the occasional writing a letter or two but not much else.
Blaise and I had exchanged a few more letters and in the latest I invited him over to the Manor. I'm sure Daisy would love to see him.
~~~~~~

"What do you usually do over the summer?" I ask Ron. "Sleep and eat." He says bluntly. "Does it ever feel like time just stops?" I sigh. He looks straight at me, "Nope."

I sigh again before getting up and finding parchment to write a letter to Hermione. I really just complained about what was going on and it was one thing, time had felt like it stopped. I groaned and then got up, "Ron do you have anything you want to add to this? It's going to Hermione."

He gets up and looks around before finding what he was looking for. He hands it to me and then I head downstairs to try and find mum. She was in the kitchen prepping lunch, "Hey mum, is the house owl available?" I ask. "He's out right now but he should be back soon." She replied. "Will you shout for me when he is?" I ask already knowing the answer. "Of course!" She cheers.
