Chapter 8: Karen problems...

2nd person pov

Today was the usual route, waking up, getting dressed, eating breakfast, and blah blah blah. You were still tired as heck this morning.(maybe because you've been reading fanfics all night-)You had to fill out some paperwork and stayed up late last night

"Heya Y/n....uh...why do you look half dead?" Scout greeted you as he sat next to you on the couch

"Oh, I don't know. Maybe because I've got work." Your sarcasm response puts Scout into an awkward silence.

You sigh "Sorry, I didn't sleep well." Scout looked at you.

"You good toots?"

"Yeah, yeah, just stressed." You replied as You got up then walked to your room and shut the door.

Scout's pov

I watched as Y/n walked away and shut the door to her room. The men walked in the front room with a confused face, thinking I must have done something.

"What did 'ou do Scout?" Spy asked as he gave me a blaming look.

"I didn't do anything, I swear! She didn't sleep well." I replied. The team looked at each other then back at me.

"Did she say wahy she didn't sleep well?" Engie asked.

"She said she's stressed." I replied as I sat up from the couch.

"Why?"

"Well Scout." Engineer said as he looked at me.

"Ah might have an idea on how to help Y/n out. After all. darlin did give us a place to stay." 'Darlin? Huh, that's new' I nod and the others turned to the teaxen with a nod. This was going to be interesting...

Y/n's pov

I leaned against the door. 'AFYFWSCCVJGGIOUSWVCDEVRFVF! Ughhhh, why am I in such a bad mood? Oh well I don't know, maybe because I BARELY GOT ANY REST!!!.' I was arguing with myself, my mind was filled with sarcasm.

'I felt bad for what I did back there, too late now. Hnnngg, I need to get a life. Oh I know maybe I could ask if the boys would like to go to the park tomorrow!' I smiled at my idea. Well, if they agree. I walked to my bed and took a seat on the soft and comforting mattress.

Welp, nothing to do now. I got up off the bed and decided that I would go shopping, quickly I grabbed my things and walked out to the living room where I saw the mercenaries.

"Hey guys, I'm gonna go shopping. Be back in a bit." I was going to walk out when..

"May we come with 'ou?" I turned to the man of the voice. It was Spy with Engie standing next to him.

"Uhm, sure." I nodded. The two followed me out, getting into the car as I got into the driver's seat.

"So, I'll need some chocolate, milk, eggs, and...." I talked to myself for a little before backing up the car and driving off.

*Time Skip

We made it to the store, I was looking for some eggs and the two mercs were looking for something they thought they would need, and well lo and behold the engineerest had bought nine mobile phones. I let out a snicker at the thought of the nine deadly mercenaries learning how to use those phones.

Spy and Engie walked beside me as we looked for some food. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going and bumped into someone.

"Oh my! I'm so sorry!" I apologized

"Ugh, don't you people know how to walk?!" The lady complained. Oh wait, shit...it was a karen!! Mayday! Mayday!

"Eheh, sorry ma'am!" I wanted none of this. Crap-

"Watch where you're walking next time!" Ok, now she just wants a fight.

"Zhe lady said sorry ma'am, and aren't 'ou supposed to be wearing a mask?" Spy spoke after a while.

Karen turned to Spy.

"And aren't you supposed to be in France?" Karen asked as she glared at Spy. Spy was obviously offended by this and wanted to end her existence. But for my sake of getting in trouble he didn't. I could see the anger in his and Engie's eyes.

"Alright karen, I already said I was sorry. Now please be so kind and heck off." I wanted to do nothing with her.

Karen looked at me with a shocked mixed with offended face "How dare you! You should respect your elders!"

"Ma'am, I ain't looking for a fight. Just. Heck. Off." This was getting annoying and I knew the two mercenaries next to me were also very annoyed.

"We'll be going now, have a nice day." And with that we left. That was until...

"HEY! YOU'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE!" Hell...ugh, karens are so problematic!

"Have. A. Nice. Day" my eye twitched, my voice filled with sarcasm. Just then an employee approached us. 'Oh thank god.' I thought to myself.

"Ma'am, you need to wear a mask." I just noticed now that the lady wasn't even wearing a mask. I grinned when Karen went dead silent

"I CAN'T WEAR A MASK, I'LL PASS OUT!" Yer right, and money grows on trees.

"Karen, just do as the employee says. It's to protect you and the people around you." My voice had the tone that could kill.

"I USED TO BE A DOCTOR! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO!" God, she's annoying.

"LET ME SPEAK TO YOUR MANAGER!" I just wanna leave..

"Ok, I'll be right back" the employee then left to probably get the manager.

The employee came back with a woman that looked like she was in her 20s with long black thick hair with green eyes.

"What seems to be the problem?" The woman asked as she turned to Karen and me.

"THIS YOUNG LADY WAS DISRESPECTING ME!" Yer right, hypocrite.

"Okay, mind telling me how?" The young woman asked as she leaned on her right leg.

"And why are you not wearing a mask? Masks are required." Spy and Engie turned to the woman with a smirk then back looking at Karen.

"I- THAT'S NOT MY POINT! THIS YOUNG LADY RIGHT HERE IS DISRESPECTING ME, SHE AND HER TWO "BOYFRIENDS" HAD THREATENED ME!" I gave Karen a tired look

"yeah, and security cameras aren't a thing." My sarcasm was amazing....totally-

Out of the corner of my eye I saw Spy and Engine grinning. Karen let out an angry cry before saying "THIS WAS SERIOUSLY MY WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!" Then stomped out of the store.

*Time Skip

When we got home it was the best thing ever! Ugh, that lady was annoying as fuck. I then spent some time with the mercenaries in the living room for a bit until it was time for me to head to bed. They also agreed saying that the Karen was dumb.

"Vhat kind of doctor is zhat?" Medic asked

"A stupid doctor." I am so smart. The men chuckled

"Anyway, I'll see you guys in the morning. Night!" After saying goodnight to each other I went to bed peacefully with my doggo asleep next to me.
