Before anything else happened you woke up, you were crying and gasping for air. Domenic got up and sat next to you, "are you okay Y/N?" he asked.
You shook your head and started crying harder. He tried to hug you but you flinched away, "hey, I'm not gonna hurt you, okay? I promise," he said as he tried to hold your hands, this time you let him embrace you. You wrapped your arms around him tightly and tried to calm down.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" he asked softly. "It was nothing," you said shakily, "just something about my ex." He stared into your eyes, "you're safe here, okay?" You nodded and hugged him again.
He held onto you until you started to fall asleep again. He carefully laid you down, pushing your hair away from your tear stained face. As he began to go back to his own makeshift bed, you softly grabbed his hand, "please..stay with me.." you pleaded. He simply nodded and laid down next to you, both of you stared at the ceiling in silence.
Suddenly he grabbed your hand, his fingers interlocked with yours and that made you happy, very happy. You smiled and fell into a peaceful sleep.
