Peter Pan is a boy who comes from the magical world of Neverland where he never grows up. Everyday, he has endless adventures filled with fun and whimsy, including fighting against the notorious Captain Hook. Some people believe in Peter Pan. Others no longer did when they became practical or grew up. Although, when some remember Peter Pan and possibly have gone to Neverland with him, they believe in him again.
There's also a family from London, the Darling family. They believed in Peter Pan their whole lives, especially Wendy Darling, who had grown up soon and started a family of her own. She continues to believe in Peter Pan and tells stories about him to her children, Jane and Danny.
Jane lost her belief in Peter Pan when she grew older during the war in London, but then she enjoyed being a kid when she got kidnapped by Captain Hook and was taken to Neverland, where she went on an adventure with Peter Pan himself after he rescued her. She never stops believing in Peter again after the war ended ever since.
But that was a really long time ago.
Eventually, years after Jane's adventure, she had her own family and started telling stories of Peter Pan to her children just like her mother did. Peter would come back at night to visit the family or listen to Jane's stories. Sometimes he brings her children to Neverland to go on adventures with him, under the suggestion of Jane's daughter Fiona.
On one occasional night, Fiona introduced Peter to a couple of her friends, Danielle Acker and Rick Lane, who slept over at the Darling residence while they're on a vacation with their families in London to visit the Darling family. Danielle and Rick came from America. They've heard about Peter Pan from Fiona through letters, so meeting him and going to Neverland with him and the next generation of the Darling family was an adventure the two friends will never forget. An adventure that even brought together in a close bond which neither of them realize until during their late teens before they reached to adulthood.
Pretty soon, Wendy passed away in her elder years, much to the sadness of her family and Peter, who knew about her death from Jane when he returned one night to pay the family another visit. The tragic news made him feel so miserable. After that, Peter slowly moved on with the help of Jane's children. They helped him get over his misery from their grandmother's death as he was very fond of her back when she was a young lady. She couldn't want him to be sad. While Peter kept his memories of Wendy alive, he misses her.
It didn't take long before Jane became a grandmother herself. All her children, mostly Fiona, tell stories about Peter Pan to their own children.
Many months after Jane's grandchildren were born, Peter decided to stop his periodic routine of visiting the Darling family during nighttime. The innocent youth of Fiona's children, nieces and nephews made him think of Wendy too much. Their smiles are bright and cheerful like a rainbow. Their laughter is like the sound of joyful music to Peter's ears. He still comes back at times to listen to Fiona's stories without her and her family knowing. He didn't know that she can feel his presence whenever he returns undetected for most of his visits.
Sympathetically, Fiona can tell that Peter misses her grandmother. It felt like the younger days when she used to have fun with him, Tinkerbell and the Lost Boys. She likes Peter as a big brother figure while he's fond of her like if she's a little sister to him. In addition, she became a Lost Girl until she had to go back home permanently. She misses all the friends she made in Neverland, including Tinkerbell, Tiger Lily and the Lost Boys.
One night when Peter came back to the Darling residence, he got busted by Fiona, who managed to catch him peeking through the window. It brought a good laugh between the old best friends, which made them look back at their memories of their old adventures together. With a sad face, Peter confessed he misses Wendy for a while. Fiona comforted him by saying she'll always be with him in his heart. Her words brought the smile back on Peter's face. He's glad to have a friend like Fiona, even if she's already a grown-up. So he went back to seeing Fiona's children, her nieces and her nephews. The Darling family grew a little bigger.
What's next for Peter Pan happens around the year 2001.
He overheard one night that Danielle and Rick are now married and have two children, a son named David and a daughter named Lisa. But surprisingly, the couple still believes in Peter Pan. And Peter found out they tell stories about him and Neverland to their children every night before bed. So he wanted to see what the children are like.
Sometime after Peter's last visit to the Darling family, he told them he won't see them again for a while cause he had to go to somewhere else. Fiona's children and their cousins became very sad at this, but he assured them he'll come back before they know it. The children each gave him a goodbye hug. Jane, now as an old woman, hugged him gently as she told him to have a safe flight. With a tearful goodbye, Fiona gave Peter one big sisterly hug. She asked him to be back soon. True to his word, he made a promise that he will. Then, he flew off into the night sky straight to the second star with the Darling family looking on in slight emotional tears, especially Fiona. She's going to miss seeing her big/little "brother". Though she'll have her family and her happy thoughts of her old times with Peter Pan to be there for her.
Happy thoughts have many good things that bring a smile on your face. For instance, it can be bringing home a new puppy, or when you and your basketball team had won at a big game, or celebrating someone else's birthday. Certain occasions or things are one of the greatest things to think about happily.
In some cases, our happy thoughts have our loved ones and the people we love most. Whether it's your family, your friends, or perhaps someone very special in your life. Some find that special someone in the blink of an eye. Others don't know it until they find out sooner. Even if you don't want to enter a romantic relationship, love has its ways to come to you. It may also happen to two people who never have a relationship with someone before but will soon experience the feeling themselves.
Peter Pan and Lisa Lane.A/N: I apologize for how short the prologue is. I haven't post a new story on WP since Halloween last month, so I wanted to post my Peter Pan fanfic now before December approaches. But don't worry. I'll come back next time to edit the prologue with a few old parts I removed and add the dialogues. Be patient for the progress to be continued. I was occupied with some stuff lately.
