MAXON'S P.O.V.

Angel was beautiful. What we didn't know what that after only a year, Chandler was born. He was really the light of the castle. Kriss spent so much time playing hide-n-seek that I didn't even see her around the castle anymore. SOmetimes I wondered if America would do the same.

I sometimes asked myself if it was really worth choosing Kriss. Every single day, I had still thought about America. Every part of those 730 days.

18 YEARS LATER:

Angel had grown so quickly, it was hard to keep up. My hair was turning gray, and Kriss had passed away last year. I sobbed again. Chandler ran in, and embraced me. i smiled. Chandler had a gift for when people were sad. Angel, on the other hand, was busy studying the profiles on her Selection. She couldn't pick them all...

I studied the list in my hand;

I nodded. They seemed like good choices. I grabbed a pastry from the fridge, and offered it to Angel. She took it, and she silently chewed while going over the names one last time.

I whispered,

"It will be alright."

I hoped so.
