Another vent. Sorry for being so moody, guys.
You stared at his body that was practically lifeless. He looked drained. His hair skin was pale, his hair was no longer vibrant, but his eyes. That look is his eyes sparked something deep within you.
Immediately- tear stained eyes and fractured voice- you lunged at him, wrapping your arms around him and sobbing into his chest. You began to sob even harder, feeling his week arms wrap around you.
"I'm so sorry Denki! I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have let this happen. I'm sorry. It should've been me! It should've been me-"
"[Y/N]. Stop." He cut you off, placing his thumb over your mouth as he caressed your cheek. "I couldn't have let it be you. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if it was." He used his remaining strength to wipe the tears off your face.
"Denki, what the hell was going on. Why were Dabi and Toga there?" You croaked, your voice sounding just as disheveled as his. Denki sighed.
"A while back, I was contacted by Dabi. He told me that, if I didn't give him the information about UA that they needed, they'd harm me, 1A, and even you." He started. You were shocked, to say the least. "I knew there was no way I could protect everyone, but if I had to choose, i'd at least have to protect you. I'm not proud of what I did, but at least I wouldn't have a connection with you anymore." Denki began stroking your hair as he felt your body begin to shake. "That night, I had to go see you, since that night was the deadline they gave me. I wanted to apologize, but also to make sure that nothing would happen to you. Looks like it went all according to plan." The silence was killing you. You didn't quite know what to say anymore.
"[Y/N], say something, anything, please." Denki begged.
"How do I know that you actually love me?"
Your voice breathy and wobbly, presumably since you thought you knew the answer already.
"I have never stopped loving you, [Y/N]. And I never will stop. I'm sorry, about what I did, theres nothing I regret more. It hurt to see the look on your face. It hurt to see you cry. It hurt to lie to you. But I couldn't let anything happen to you because of me. I thought I was keeping you safe when in truth I was hurting you. I'm sorry, I'm so fucking sorry, and I will always love you, even if you don't take me back."
You didn't say anything, you just leaned in, closing the distance between the two of you by pressing your lips up against his. Soon Denki's body melted into your touch, his hands resting on your neck and waist while yours were on his chest. You felt his tongue rub up against your bottom lip, asking to be granted permission. You opened slightly, and blushed shades of red at the feeling of his tongue slipping into your cavern. Your tongue danced with his for a bit, further deepening the kiss. After a bit you just barely pulled away needing air, your forehead rested on his, feeling his warm breath brush up against your face.
"I love you [Y/N]. I always will."
"Always?"
"Always"
This wasn't even that good to be honest, but I cried writing it. I hope you guys enjoyed it!
