7. ENCOUNTER

Alicia's POV

Jerome and Justine are a year older than me so... naturally they're in their second year of the academy.

I've already started attending my classes. The people in my class are friendly and nice.

They treat me nicely and we're on a friendly bases with each other.

I've made some friends other than Jerome and Justine too....but.....even though it's been a few weeks....this feeling just doesn't go away.

I still feel like I'm being followed but I'm getting used to it slowly. I just ignore it now.

I'm getting used to this academy more early than i thought I know the way to the classes and dorms too.

I usually eat breakfast with Jerome and Justine but they're usually busy at lunch so I eat it with lily now.

Lily is one of the few friends I made when I started attending.

She's my class mate. She's not from my kingdom. She's very nice and pretty.

We're very close now too.

Author's POV

She walked down the hall looking sideways every now and then.

The feeling that someone was behind her was getting more intense.

Even more because the halls were empty.

She was in the library and fell asleep. When she woke up it was noon and the students had returned to their dorms.

She was going back to her room when this strange feeling returned again..

She felt like someone was right behind her and if she turned back, she'd bump into them.

She was getting more and more anxious. She was clenching her blouse tightly to stop her hands from shaking.

Right after that......she felt really strange.....she didn't know what happened but she reflexively started running.

In the empty corridor....the only voice she could hear was of her own foot steps.

The sound of her shoes and her pounding heart.....her shaking hands and the cold sweat that was on her forehead.....

She didn't know what was going on and why she was running

She didn't even know why someone was following her....she couldn't even hear that person's foot steps....it was like that person was invisible.

But one thing she knew was that someone really was behind her and this person,....this presence this heavy and cold atmosphere.....it was something she had never felt before.

Like this person ....was someone else...it was not the one she used to ignore it was someone.....she wasn't familiar with

And.. ..This person....was someone dangerous.

Her legs were starting to shake and her heart was beating more fastly...she started to gasp for air.

It was like her legs were gonna give up any second and she could collapse at any time....she started to get goosebumps.

She didn't realize it but .....tears were constantly streaming down her face...

"A..Alex....!! Aiden......!!"..

She shouted loudly. In her state....she didn't know where she was ...she just wanted her brothers to come and save her

She missed her family...her home...her mother.

Tears started to fall more fastly by remembering her mother.

She didn't realize but she had started to sob.

Just then,...she bumped strongly into someone. Her legs gave up and she felt like she was gonna fall but a strong pair of arms held her and picked her up.

She couldn't see the face of the person.
Her eyesight was blurred. Maybe because of the tears.

"H.... help...m..." She tried to say.

But she felt like there was no energy left in her to even lift her hands and then....everything around her suddenly became dark and her eyes closed......
