Max

Stella had no idea what she did to me. The things I’d do for her. And the things I was about to do. I licked my lips and savored the taste of her pussy. Her thighs quivered when I made her come on my tongue. The sexy noises she made had Daddy craving his sugar. So hot when I watched her come so hard. The thought of what I’d just got through doing made it hard to focus.

“You listening to me?” Clay snapped his fingers.

“Yes.” No.

“Damn, he’s got it bad. I haven’t seen him like this since high school.” Rod added.

“So, where is the bloody fool?”

“Dunno, he’s just gone.”

“I want blood for what he did. Paul Anders doesn’t get away with this. This shouldn’t still be going on.”

“Max, I think you should get her and the children out of here. Let us take care of this. What if she got a restraining order?”

“She won’t do it.” I heard Anna say.

I knew that was true.
Would she get one if Daddy ordered her to?
I shook my head.
I wouldn’t force her.
I’m not him.
She’s got to want to do it.
My chest ached.
And my heart, it was breaking.

“Come on guys, it’s time to track a piece of shit down.” I said, cracking my knuckles.

“Max, don’t go.” Her sweet voice called out to me.

I pinched my eyes shut and took a deep breath. I had to go. To leave her. But this time, she’d be safe. I wouldn’t let Paul get to her. He wouldn’t be able to after I was done with him. I opened my eyes to see her standing at the entrance of the living room.

“Sugar, you know I have to go. This is something I have to take care of. Paul will suffer at my hands and there’s nothing you can say to stop me.”

“I don’t want you to get hurt… to go to jail.” She whispered.

I took a few powerful strides towards her and took her face in my rough hands. My thumb stroked each side of her cheeks and pressed my forehead against hers. “I’ll be okay, sugar. Don’t worry about me, let me take care of business.”

She parted her lips to protest, but I silenced her with a kiss. All my emotions poured out into her mouth. I kissed her hard. Possessively. Dominated her mouth with my tongue. The need to claim her was there, but I had to tone it down. I had a bastard to track down and make him pay for hurting my sugar.

“Be good and Daddy will be back soon.”

“I love you, Max Spelling.”

“And I love you, sugar. So. Damn. Much. That’s why I have to do this.” Those are the last words I said before kissing her one last time and walking out the door.

I was met with Rod and Clay when I made it to the truck. Rod threw me a smirk. And Clay, he was currently holding a metal baseball bat.

After a few hours of searching for Paul, I was ready to give up. Rod swerved and slammed on the brakes. “Lookie there, boys. It looks like he’s had too much to drink.”

“As usual.” Clay added.

Paul staggered and doubled over, throwing up. Yeah, that’s disgusting. Just like him. A disgusting piece of shit. I glanced at Clay and then at Rod. “Let’s get him, boys. He needs to know the meaning of hurt is.”

Rod, Clay, and I exited the truck quietly as possible. I wanted him to be surprised when he saw my smug face. Rod and Clay grabbed him forcefully by his elbows and turned him around. Paul widened his eyes when he met my gaze. Without warning, I punched his jaw. He cursed and let out a growl. “What the hell?!”

I held the baseball bat in my hand and aimed it at his face. “You touched her. You hurt her. You. Fucking. Put. Marks. On. Her.”

I gripped the bat and mimicked my movements as if I were going to hit a home run. I grinned. I was definitely gonna hit a home run with hit his knee caps. Paul jerked against Rod and Clay, attempting to break free. It was no use trying. Rod was a body builder and Clay ran the gym downtown. They were both fit for men of their age.

“I’ll fuckin’…”

I laid the first hit to his right kneecap. I smiled sardonically when I heard a crack. Still, he stood on his feet. Stubborn motherfucker. I wasn’t done with him. Not by a longshot. After all the shit he put Stella through, he deserved to suffer as she has.

I threw the bat into the wooded area and clenched him by the collar of his shirt. “Not so badass anymore, are we?”

“Fuck you, trailer trash.” He spat.

“Nah, that’s you, that’s how you landed such a fortune, right? Marry into Stella’s family, take her inheritance, and treat her like shit. If anyone’s trailer trash, it’s you, bastard.”

“You… don’t know shit.” Paul hissed.

“No? I think I do. I know you’re the biggest phony and hypocrite in Sage, Oklahoma. I know your father left when you were just a baby. And… I know what a whore your mother is. Nothing but the scum of the Earth.”

“Fight me like a man.” He growled.

“Ok, give me your best shot, fucker. I got to see this, guys.” I teased Paul, gesturing for Rod and Clay to let him go.

As soon as they released him, he lunged for me. I stepped to the side and laughed. “You can beat the shit out of a woman, but you can’t take me. You can dish it out, but you can’t take it.”

He reared his fist in another attempt to attack me, but I caught his hand and shoved him. He stumbled backward, falling on his ass.

I threw my head back and laughed. “Geez, you are smashed, preacher man. What would God say about that?”

“I’ll… kill you.” He said, laced with venom.

“Oooh, I’m fuckin’ scared.” I teased, throwing Rod and Clay a smirk. “I better watch out, guys. Paul’s gonna kill me.”

Rod and Clay chuckled darkly. I watched Rod as he stood behind Paul and kicked him in the back. Paul fell forward and face planted into the mud. He raised his head and began to crawl towards me. He didn’t get far before Clay pressed his boot to his back and shoved him back down.

I leaned down and shook my head. “Pathetic waste. I was so looking forward for a good fight. Don’t worry, all the public will know is that you got wasted and passed out at the side of the road.”

Clay pulled out the disposable camera and grinned. “Say cheese, preacher.”

“Stay away from her.” Paul hissed.

“No, you need to stay away from her. You didn’t deserve her then and you don’t deserve her now.” I glanced at Rod. “Now, man. This motherfucker needs to sleep for a while. He’s gonna have a long day tomorrow. Actually, I think he’s gonna have a long weekend.”

I smiled as I watched Rod inject the drug into Paul’s neck. He widened his eyes when he realized the severity of the situation. He’d underestimated me. Again. Now, he’s gonna have to explain why the preacher of Sage, Oklahoma was discovered on Saturday morning passed out drunk. Rod flashed a few more pictures. Clay turned Paul over and planted an empty bottle in his hand.

“Let’s go, guys.”

“Yeah, I just wish I could see his face when he wakes up in a few hours.” Rod muttered.

Clay’s hand clamped down on my shoulder. “Satisfied?”

“Not really, I won’t be satisfied until he’s finished in this town.”
I shrugged his hand off and grabbed the baseball bat before running of into the night.

“So, everyone has an alibi?”

I nodded. “Been home with my boys having dinner with Kalina and her family. You?”

“Sure as fuck do.” Rod and Clay smirked.

“And that is?” I asked.

“Been workin’ out with our girl.”

I raised a brow.

“Little miss hot stuff Anna has agreed to be our alibi.” Rod answered.

“Ya’ll don’t stand a chance. You do know she’s a lesbian, right?” I remarked.

“Umm, about that, we may have…”

“Hush!” Rod hissed under his breath.

“Well, I’ll be damned. You two…”

Rod cut me off. “Tag teamed hotstuff last weekend. She’s not gay, she’s bisexual.”

Well, I’ll be.
Never though they shared.
I don’t.
I’d never share my sugar with any other man or woman.
My night didn’t go as planned.
I’d hoped to put Paul in the hospital, but this shit, it was golden.

At least, it would give me a little alone time with Stella.
I think it’s time Stella knows just how intense Daddy can be.
What I’m capable of.
