(in this story, harry never likes cho or ginny as more than friends and they never like him like that)
and now... the story
you stare at yourself in the mirror as you finish the last curl of your hair. you're getting ready with the two girls who are now your best friends, hermione granger and ginny weasley.
"wow y/n, you look gorgeous!" hermione says from behind you.
"yeah, harry's gonna love it!" ginny smiles.
"thanks! i'm so excited!" you say standing up. "and you two look gorgeous as well."
they both thank you and you walk out of the dorm room. when you get near the great hall, ginny sees neville standing there, waiting for her. she says goodbye to you and hermione before running over to him.
"ready?" hermione turns to you and asks.
"i guess!" you respond and laugh nervously.
"let's go then." hermione says. you nod and approach the steps, entering the great hall with hermione by your side. everyone stares at you two. you see harry standing there and you start to feel happy and nervous.
as you reach the end of the stairs, victor krum grabs hermione's hand and they walk away. harry then walks up to you.
"woah. y/n you look amazing." harry says in awe.
"thank you harry! you look amazing too." you say. you start walking to enter the great hall but then you stop. harry looks at you and asks what's wrong. "i'm nervous harry. we have to dance in front of all those people and i'm a terrible dancer."
"no one will worry about it. and they'll probably be too focused on how pretty you look anyways." he says sweetly. you giggle and continue walking.
after dancing all night with harry, you and him go back to his dorm.
