when you arrive, you see ron laying in bed with an angry expression on his face.

"ron what's wrong?" you ask.

"nothing." he says coldy.

"um well, i'm gonna go change. harry, can i borrow a sweatshirt?" you say awkwardly. you are now best friends with ron but he's acting very strangely so maybe it's best to let him and harry talk without you there.

"sure." he replies.

you go to his drawer and pull out a red hoodie. you had left pajama pants in his dorm as spare clothes in case you ever wanted to change, so you got those out too. you go to the bathroom to change into the comfier clothes.

since the bathroom is connected to the dorm it's easy for you to hear the conversation.

(even if that's not how it is at hogwarts, for the story just pretend each dorm has a connected bathroom)

"ron why are you so mad?" harry asks once you leave.

"it's nothing." ron replies grumpily.

"ron-"

"WHAT HARRY?"

"this is about hermione isn't it?" harry asks.

you quickly change and leave the bathroom. you walk in to hear ron saying this:

"she went with stupid victor krum and then got mad at me for 'spoiling everything' and i had the worst time at the yule ball."

then the two boys notice you standing there.

"ron it's okay. i can tell you like her and if she cares that much about something you did, she probably likes you too." you say trying to comfort ron.

"no i don't-" ron says nervously.

"ok ron." you giggle while harry gives him a look, knowing its not true.

"shut up!" ron says and hits you with a pillow.

you all laugh.

"guys... i just had an idea!" you say smirking.

"what?" they asked in unison

"get changed out of those dress robes and grab your coats. i'll be waiting in the common room!" you say standing up. you walk out of the dorm and sit on the gryffindor common room couch.

a little while later ron exits the dorm without harry behind him.

"what's harry doing?" you ask.

"he's trying to find his coat." he responds.

"of course he can't find it." you laugh. then you notice ron starting to look a little nervous. "ron, what's wrong?"

"what you said about hermione maybe liking me... is it true?" he asks.

"well we haven't ever really talked about it but... the way you guys act towards each other, it seems like she does. and i was right about you liking her so i could be right about this too." you say. "and if it matters, i TOTALLY ship it."

ron blushes at the thought of someone really thinking hermione likes him or that they would make a cute couple.

"I FOUND IT!" harry comes running out of the dorm.

"finally!" you say looking over at him.

"where are we going anyways?" ron asks.

"its a surprise, ronald! just follow me." you laugh and run out of the common room.

"mental that one. i'm telling you." ron mutters to harry.

"HEY I HEARD THAT!" you call back to them .

they run to catch up to you. you exit the castle grounds sneakily, hoping you don't get caught. the boys keep questioning where you're going but you refuse to tell them. but eventually... they catch on.

"hey isn't this the way to hogsmeade?" harry asked.

"maybe." you said giggling.

"you're gonna get us in trouble, y/n." ron said.

"whatever." your roll your eyes laughing.

you sneak into the restaurant that was still open and order some butter beers. you stay there for an hour and head back to the dorms. luckily you didn't get caught you spend the night with harry cause you don't feel like going back to your dorm.
