-Chapter 9-
-Chilled's POV-{{Dream}}
"Ze?" I spoke loudly glancing around the darkness, where was I?
"Chilled," Ze's voice echoed, "I need to tell you something."
Ze? Where is he? I, I need to find him.
"What, what is it?" I asked frantically searching for him.
Suddenly, Ze appeared metres before me, wandering in the opposite direction of me. No, wait, way,
“Ze, I’m here! Turn around, I’m right here!”
His feet carried him into the darkness, mine following in a helpless attempt to stop him, just, turn around!
{{End of Dream}}
"Ze,” I gasped, springing up from my bed.
Fuck. A sudden throbbing pained my head, clutching it as I glanced around. Where’s Ze? I took small breaths of air, it, was just a nightmare? He’d, he’d never walk away from me. Right? I groaned slumping back into the bed, my head kills. I, need water and breakfast. A greasy breakfast. My stomach grumbled in agreement. Right. I lifted myself up, slowly forcing myself out as bed. It felt like I was walking through sand. I grabbed a glass of water; I can’t be asked to make breakfast. I should, just order in. So, I did, an hour went by until I received a perfect English breakfast. I assumed. I hadn’t actually been to England much to have one there. After indulging, I felt mildly better. Better enough to head into the group chat with the others.
"Good morning,” Ze chimed, ah, “you must’ve been exhausted after last night.”
Exhausted was one word. I groaned weakly,
“I couldn't control Smarty, he's an absolute beast at smashing his drinks.”
"Couldn't keep up, huh?" Galm teased, I don’t anyone could.
I laughed sarcastically, I don’t even remember drinking that much,
"very funny."I tried to focus on the faint memories from last night, filtering them in my mind. Wait, I, kind of remember seeing Ze last night. I glanced over Ze's face, a soft smirk on his face,
"Ze,” I muttered, “what did I say last night?"
"Maybe too much,” Galm interrupted letting out a laugh.
I hushed him, what did I say?
"Ze, tell me please.”
“Um,” he scratched his neck, “I'll call you separately," Ze suggested.
Fuck. If he wants to speak separately, I must’ve done something fucked up. He left the chat.
"Jesus, Chilled," Galm spoke in between heavy laughs.
Jesus christ, what did I? I hung up to avoid Galm’s laughter, just in time as Ze began to call me. I accepted, as well accepting the ultimate embarrassment.
“Ze, I am so sorry,” I began to ramble, “Smarty kept insisting I drink to keep up with him and, and I couldn’t say no, because there’s no way I’m losing to Smarty and,” I frowned, “I’m sorry.”
I quietened down, reaching to my water for support, taking small gulps.Ze’s lips parted,
“It’s interesting knowing how you act while drunk..”
Fuck. I’ve had comments on the stages of my drinking. The last one being, over sexualisation of an interest of desire. As Smarty intellectually labelled it. I just called it, being horny.
"I'm so sorry,” I muttered holding my head in my hands.
"Don't be,” Ze chuckled, “you were helping Smarty out.”
Still,
"there’s no excuse for me to act that way,” I admitted upset with myself, "I'm not some kind of,” I waved my hands around, “sexual predator."
"Don’t apologise," Ze insisted, "it’s not like you planned for this to happen."
Exactly. I didn’t plan for this time happen. I shook my head, laughing lightly,
“thank you.”
Ze shrugged, a reassuring smile on his face,
“let's join Galm quickly before he begins to suspect something.”
He’s right.
