I sit up and look at Ricky, I'm completely speechless. He stands in front of me and I stand up, he looks down at me and I shake my head. As if it's my instinct, I stand on my tippy toes and kiss him. He kisses me back hungrily, we've missed one another so much.

He breaks the kiss and presses his forehead against mine. He says my name as if he's relieved to see me again "Luna."

He lifts his head and kisses my forehead. He looks down at me and grins. "Come with me." He murmurs

We walk over to a large mirror and I see my reflection. I'm taken aback, my eyes are a bright velvet red and their framed with thick and long lashes. My hair looks thicker which makes it look longer and healthier. My skin is much paler and looks to be a creamy ivory color. I don't see a single imperfection on my skin. Ricky clears his throat "So, what'd you think?"

I shrug. "I could do without the eyes."

He chuckles "They'll fade back to their usual green color. Although they're more than likely part of your vampire side now. Just like how mine completely turn black while I'm feeding. Yours are just blood red."

I turn around and look up at Ricky. He looks even more handsome through my new vision. He looks clearer? I smile at him "I love you."

"I love you."

I stand up on my tip toes again and kiss him. He kisses me back, I pull away and look up at him. He puts a hand on my cheek. "You need to feed."

When he mentions it, I remember how dry my throat is. I touch my throat and nod, he grabs my hand and tells me to follow him.

We walk out of the house and out into Winter and Chris's backyard. It feels like a typical February day in Seattle. I look down at my feet and see they're bare. I notice I'm dressed in a pullover grey knit sweater and a pair of black leggings. I hold his arm and continue to walk with him. I look up at him while we walk. "Can you help me hunt?"

"I'll be there to guide you, don't worry. I think you'll find it easy. As if it's instinctual. Like eating while you were human."

The thought of human food now makes me ill. The thought of it's actually repulsive.

After a bit of walking we stop, he pulls me into his arms "Close your eyes. Tell me what you smell."

I close my eyes and sniff the air, I smell fresh water nearby, I smell his cologne, and I smell blood. My mouth becomes wet, he chuckles "Good, you smell them."

"What is it?"

"Deer, three of them. They're behind the bush over there."

I take another deep breath in "What do I do now?"

"What're your instincts telling you to do?" His grip around me becomes loose.

My eyes snap open when I realize what I'm about to do. He looks at me and notices my hesitation. "Try not to think about it. I know it's scary but, you need to learn how to hunt by yourself. Just follow what your instincts are telling you."

The burn in my throat becomes more intense. I take another deep breath. I feel their heartbeats in my veins. I crouch down behind a large rock, completely shielding me. I slowly crawl towards the group. Their heartbeats pound in my ears, my thirst becomes unbearable. I spring forward and grab one of the deer's throat. It struggles against my grip but I'm much stronger than it. The smell becomes overwhelming and my fangs grow in.

I sunk my teeth in it's throat. The blood was hot and it flows down my throat. It soothes the burn in my throat and I drank quickly. The deer's struggle to free itself starts to lessen. I keep drinking and I start feeling blood dripping down my chin. The deer ran dry and I quickly shove the carcass off me. I step back and wipe my mouth, I hear a slow clap behind me. I turn and see Ricky, he's squatting on the rock that I leaped off of. "Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful."
