Knock knock, "Go away! I don't need your presents." Over the past few days, Dijun had without fail left some presents outside her door. Some of it was expensive(one of its kind in the immortal world), some of it was the stuff he remembered she liked. Fengjiu had all ordered them to be thrown into the room next door, as the proverb said , out of sight out of mind.

Except for one, a fox personally carved by Dijun. Fengjiu had taken one look at it and had ordered it to be thrown into the room next door.

Except, the next minute the people serving her all saw her go inside and search for it. "Help me find it!" she ordered.

After some 30 minutes, she finally emerged from the room, having totally forgotten that she could have used her magic to search for it.

The fox lay on her table. Sometimes, her servants would spot her caressing it gently, other times they would see her slamming the fox on the table and glaring angrily at it. Rumors started to spread that maybe the queen wasn't really sane. Luckily, Feng jiu had no idea about the rumors circulating behind her back.

One day her aunt Bai Qian came to visit her,"I saw Dijun a few days ago, his face got paler and his complexion doesn't look good, are you two ok?"

"Hmph! I don't care about him. Who cares about him?"A moment later, she asked"Is he ok?". Bai Qian almost laughed at the complete switch that Fengjiu displayed. "If you're so worried about him, you should go and see for yourself, he's been standing at your door for a few hours every day."

"Has he?"Fengjiu jumped to her feet.

"No, I'm not going to be the one to forgive him. He--"

"Fengjiu, no matter what he did, ought you not to cherish this opportunity? Wasn't this what you desired for a long time."

Fengjiu paused. She remembered shapeshifting into a fox, gazing at Dijun. She remembered him saving her like she was a damsel in distress. She remembered him in the mortal world piggybacking her while she held the umbrella atop their heads, blocking the rain.

How could she forget?

The next day,she opened the door, dijun stood at the door, his hands raised ready to knock. He seemed surprised.

"Come in--"she grudgingly said.

She waved magic, pouring him a cup of tea.

Then she stared at him, waiting for him to explain. Sure, she could forgive him assuming of course that he revealed the reasoning behind his actions.

Dijun shifted in his seat, distinctly uncomfortable, if Si Ming were here, he would laugh at how Dijun had for once lost his calm façade.

Dijun then explained his past actions. Of course, he twisted the story.

"So, you're telling me, that because the REAL Wen Chang had a lover in the mortal world, so you knew that he was not a person to be trusted, so you decided that he wasn't fit for the suitor position?" Fengjiu questioned.

Dijun nodded.

"But who are you to decide? Whether he's suitable or not, can't I see for myself? Are you my father, my aunt, what right do you have to decide for me?"

Dijun opened his mouth about to say something.

"Surely, you don't think I consider you my lover?Right?"

Dijun shut his mouth.

She laughed, "You're the one who rejected me and now you come back for what? Now, I can't even find a person to love me? What makes you think you are the only one I can love?"
