The ball arrived at the palace. So far I don't understand what happened last week. Why were we chosen to participate in the ball? I don't have time to think about it right now. It is exactly an hour and fifty minutes before the ball and I - as always - had not even chosen a dress. It wouldn't be good if I was late for a ball at the palace. My mother would kill me!
The palace is 45 minutes from my home. That is, I have an hour and five minutes to get ready. What kind of dress should I wear? In fact, this dance is not the same as the school dance. This time, I have to be careful. But a whim that does not escape from what I am. A whim that showed no one but Camille Bittencourt.
I chose a vertical striped dress - White and black stripes. The sleeves of the dresses go up to my elbows. The sleeves are not glued to my arm, nor are they too wide. I chose a thin black belt with a silver buckle. It was simple and beautiful. It was Camille Bittencourt style.
I put on a thick black heel - which lessened my chances of falling. It has an opening at the location of the fingers to show them. I decided to apply just a red lipstick and let my hair down.
It took me only fifty minutes to get ready. My mother, on the other hand, took an hour and five minutes and still put on makeup on the way to the palace. She looked beautiful in a burgundy velvet dress.
We arrived at the palace and I am frozen with nervousness. We were greeted by a butler who guided us to the party room. The palace ballroom was the most beautiful thing I saw. The yellow lights made the environment wonderful. The walls are yellow with brown columns that match the large sofa. The floor is a mix of white and brown, and next to the sofa is a very large furry brown rug. My desire was to lie down on that rug. There are glass tables with red flowers in their jars. It was all wonderful.
- Receive now Her Royal Majesties, King Bernard Mountbatten-Windsor and Queen Agatha Mountbatten-Windsor and Her Royal Highness, Prince Brandon Mountbatten-Windsor. - Announced a tall, bearded man.
A round of applause followed after the announcement.
The great doors of that hall opened and the celebrities of the party entered. The round of applause continued until the King raised his hands to stop the clapping.
- It is a pleasure to welcome you here at the palace. Many preparations have been made for this feast to be possible. I hope everything is to your liking. said the king, with a smile. - Please feel free and enjoy the party.
Make yourself comfortable? Could we do that? I'm sweating cold with nervousness.
The Queen came towards us and I thought my heart would come out of my mouth.
- Good night, dear. - said the Queen, with the most beautiful smile.
- Good night, Majesty. - My mother and I speak as if we have agreed to speak at the same time, along with a bow.
- It's Mrs. Bittencourt, right? - she said, before turning to me. - and you are Camille Bittencourt, right?
My God, she knows my name!- Yes, Majesty. - I said, still perplexed.
- It's a pleasure to meet you. Please enjoy the party. - she spoke with a smile and a movement with his hands - Now, I will receive the others. Excuse.
We bowed and the Queen left. The Queen was beautiful as always. Her dress is long and round, moss green with silver. It looked like glitter. The small silver polka dots are on the top of your dress and down to your waist.
- I can't believe I just spoke to Queen Agatha. - said my mother, with the outline of a smile.
- Me neither. - I said, gaping.
