Throwing my hand towards the source of the annoying beeping that only got louder and faster at every turn. I would have chucked it at the wall...if it wasn't my phone. Opening my heavy eyelids I squinted my eyes at the bright light coming off of the phone.
"I hate mornings." I grumbled before hauling myself out of my cozy bed. Pulling on a clean white tank top under a denim button up shirt, I paired the top with black leggings and brown knee-high boots. Actually talking the time to curl my hair and swipe on some natural color makeup, I was happy with how my appearance would be for my first day of my new school -No, my new life.

As I pulled into, the student parking lot, the old engine of my pick-up rattled unhealthily as I idled in my chosen parking spot. Little did I know that I parked in someone else's parking spot. Pulling the key out of the ignition I listened to the old motor die, followed harsh hissing. Gotta love old beaters. Hoping out of the truck I walked my happy self over to the bed of the truck. Tugging on the tailgate, I looked to see my backpack all the way back, a whole body length away. Cursing under my breath, I stretched to see if my short self could reach the cursid backpack. Next thing I knew; one moment I heard spurs and the blade of a horn, and the next I felt a strong, warm arm snake around my waist and hauled me to the pavement.
"What the hell, dude?!" I snapped, but froze instantly when I saw my "rescuer". He was drop dead gorgeous. From his chiseled jaw, and piercing blue eyes to his messy-styled hair and his extremely toned body.
"Well, I will just take that as a 'thank you for saving me from getting hit by a bunch of assholes.' In that case, you're welcome." His husky voice sent chills racing up and down my spine. "Hey, you're new aren't you? What's you're name? I'm Ryder."
"N-Nicole." Scowling at how I stuttered. I cleared my throat. "The name's Nicole, but I'll have to castrate you if you call me Nicky. It's Nicole, Nick or Cole." Pushing myself away from this guy, Ryder, so I had some personal space, as the close proximity brought...difficult memories.
"Alright, alright, I get it. No need to castrate me. I like all my parts where they are, thank you." Ryder chuckled, before picking me up and setting me on my feet. I hardly knew this guy, yet he seemed like maybe, just maybe, he'd be someone that I'd enjoy spending some time with. Parting my lips to speak, in about a second I was spun on my heels and looking at the face of a very, very pissed off Levi.
"Hey Levi, how's it goin'?" I asked, glad to actually see a familiar face. However, Levi looked...deadly. Not the flirtatious guy I met the other day. Feeling a weight on both my shoulders, the pissed off look in his eyes actually scared me.
"What were you thinking?! You could have been killed!" Levi shouted as he shook me, causing a headache to painfully form in my head.
"Levi! Go walk it off." Ryder's husky voice demand. Authority dripping from every word he spoke, sending chills to once again race up and down my spine. Being pulled away from Levi's grip, I felt my body collide into Ryder's rock hard chest.
"Now, Levi." Ryder finished. The vibrating of his chest as he spoke have me an unnatural feeling of comfort, which I was swiftly drawn away from when I heard an animalistic growl come from Levi just before he sprinted away from Ryder and myself. And within seconds where Levi once stood four new people. Two guys and two girls.
"Ryder, we just saw Breaker run off, everything okay?" The blonde boy asked, authority seemed to flow freely from him as well.
"He just needs to cool off, Caleb." Ryder replied calmly, his arm still wrapped protectively around my waist. "Oh, everyone, this is Nicole. Whatever you do don't call her Nicky." He teased before continuing. "The blondie here is Caleb, my be- my best friend, the brunette is Annabelle, and the guy with the black hair is Percy, and the fake red head is his sister, Duchess." I smiled sheepishly at the four people in front of me, but noticed the brunette, Annabelle, was glaring at me. However, I didn't get a whole lot of time to process it as the obnoxious bell rang from the school building. Ryder was the first to say good bye, followed by a hyper, yet friendly bye from Duchess. After the group left I turned back to my truck, and fetched my backpack before running to the school.
"Late on the first day. Good work, Nick." I grumbled to myself as I rushed through the halls I) to find my locker and II) find my class...good luck to me!

Luck didn't seem to be on my side today. It was twenty minutes into my first period class, and I still couldn't find the freaking classroom...how hard can it be to find a classroom?! Mumbling incoherent words under my breath, for the second time today, I crashed into a rock hard chest with an "oof" escaping my lips. Looking up to see who I had run into, I instantly wanted to take an enormous step backwards.
"Hey. Look, I'm sorry about earlier, but I'm about to offer you a once in a life time deal!" The boy chirpped.
"Okay, Levi, what's this deal?"
"Just follow me, Cupcake." Was all he said before leading me out of the building, more than likely permanently damaging my school record as on my first day of school, I as ditching with a guy I hardly even knew.
