Eric shuffles up Sarah's front walkway and loudly knocks on the front door. Sarah opens the door shocked to see Eric shyly standing off to the side of the door.
"Hey Sarah, mind if I come in to talk to you about something?"
"Yeah sure," Sarah says as she motions for him to come in.
"So, I heard about the fight between you and Cami, you okay?" Eric asked, sitting on Sarah's bed.
"I'm fine, I'm just, a little shaken up." Sarah sighed, rubbing her face. "I just don't understand why she hates me so much. I just don't understand what I did, it's not my fault."
"Yeah, Cami's always been that way." Eric shrugged.
"MK told me that already. I just, feel bad because it feels like I'm the one fucking everything up. I a,m the one fucking everything up." Sarah groaned.
"Hey man, no you're not. Cami's just really overprotective of Ace, she's like that with literally everyone. You guys just need to get through that awkward patch, and then I'm pretty sure everything'll be fine."
"But how long is that gonna take? I mean I want to hang out with Ace but we can't do that because Cami is constantly breathing down One's neck. She won't just let up for a second." The brunette huffed, pacing around her room. Her anger slowly grew as she kept talking. "It's just so fucking annoying that I can't even look at Ace without Cami screaming about how I trying to take Ace away from her!"
"Um, Sarah?" Eric said, shifting uncomfortably as the room got hotter.
"I don't even like Ace that way! We're just friends, only friends! Nothing else!" Waves of heat were pulsating off the teen and the air filled with strangely supernatural energy. "I just wish Cami would shut up, she's just being a fucking bitch about it all!"
"Sarah!" Eric called, finally getting the girl's attention.
"What?" She screamed and a strange pulse of light and energy blasted from around her. It blasted out the windows, the door flew off its hinges, and Eric was knocked down and slammed against the wall. "Shit! What the fuck was that?" She screamed, staring at herself in horror and confusion.
She ran over to Eric only to see he was knocked out and badly hurt.
Confused and scared about what just happened she rushes down to her grandmother.
"GRANDMA I JUST HURT ERIC I DON'T KNOW HOW BUT HE NEEDS HELP!"
Irene rushes up to Sarah's room to see the very hurt and unconscious boy.
"WHAT YOU DID DOESN'T MATTER RIGHT NOW WHAT MATTERS IS CALLING THE AMBULANCE."
Hearing the word ambulance set off memories from what happened with her mom. Unable to control her emotions she takes off and runs out the front door. Sarah runs and runs and runs even further away until she feels like her legs will give out.
When Sarah stops to catch her breath she realizes she ran straight to the shoreline cafe. She rushes in slamming the front door open. Sarah stops dead in her tracks scanning the room for Ace just as she sees Ace she collapse onto the ground and sees Ace rushing towards her as her eyes slowly close on their own.
A few hours later Sarah slowly opens her eyes to smell a familiar smell, and hear familiar sounds but her eyes haven't adjusted to the light in the hospital yet.
When her eyes finally adjust to the light in the room she realizes she's in the hospital. Scared and confused about how she got there she starts to have a panic attack creating another explosion that blasts out the windows in the room as she runs out of the hospital all the way to the shoreline cafe where she would call for her grandma to come to get her.
