A Mate's Rejection

Chapter 11

Luke P.O.V

I lay right beside Kristen in bed. Kristen is asleep. I started thinking of Beth and I felt guilty for leaving her just like that. I still love her but it felt right to be with my mate. I didn't know what to do.. I hope Beth finds another guy better than me. I stood up and walked to my dresser, putting on shorts and a blue navy T-shirt I opened the door and walked out of the hall. It was silent, everyone was downstairs. I passed by Beth's room and stopped. I smelt blood and started to panic, banging on her door I yelled "Beth?! Open the door please!!" I waited for a couple seconds and there was no response. I was about to kick the door open when a voice called out "What are you doing?!" I turned around and it was Jack. "I came to see Beth." I replied and Jack shook his head. "Leave her alone, you caused her such pain." He said and I laughed, "Caused her such pain? I wasn't the one that abused her, her whole life!"

Jack look stunned. He raised his fist and launched it at my face, my head whipped to the side as I felt a stung. I yelled out and attacked Jack, we both groaned as we kept hitting each other. Soon by then he was on top of me, his claws extended out about to pierce into my neck when I heard a door open and a scream. We both turned our heads to see Beth standing in the doorway, covering her mouth in fear. There were scars all over her arms. She trembled and fell on her knees, Jack gave me a dirty look and ran to her. "Beth are you okay?" he asked and she didn't respond. She just continued shaking as she stared at me. Jack look back at me again and helped Beth stand up, "Look let's go in your room." She nods and Jack brings her back into the room, locking the door behind them.

My heart skipped a beat, and I felt heartbroken watching Beth go into the room with Jack.
