"i was wondering if maybe you wanted to spend the night at my place?" billie looks up at me, asking for my approval.
"billie," i say before she cuts me off.
"c'mon stel! we can talk on the drive home, we can take my sexy ass car. and if you don't feel like talking when we get there we can just go to sleep. you can even shower if you need to. my home is your home." billie explains.
"you know what. fuck it. i'll text lennon and them now." i look at her excited as i pull out my phone once again.
"YES! i was so scared you'd say no but-"
"hey billie," i interrupted her. "we took my car here so do you mind if we stop by taco bell to drop off my keys?"
"fuck yeah! i could go for a burrito right about now." billie smiles relentlessly, it's so adorable how excited she gets.

"do you need to let your parents know?" i say.
"no, do you?" billie questions me.
"i was gonna stay at lennon's place anyway so it's fine." i explain, phone still in my hand.
"i love how they hype you up so much." billie says as she looks over my shoulder at the messages. i blush.
"why wouldn't they? you do realize we listen to your music practically every day, and now i'm going home with you. not such a casual thing billie." we laugh.
"true," she starts making her way off of the roof and out of the venue, "c'mon stella, your friends gotta get home!" i follow her.

we pull up to the taco bell. i immediately notice lennon, joey, and delilah, walking out of the restaurant with shocked expressions on their faces.
"shit." i see joey mouth as she gawks at billies beauty of a car.
i pull the keys out of my bag and roll down the windows so i can hand them to lennon.
"hi billie!" lennon greets billie, "text me once your there stel." she smiles as she hands us our orders, and then leans in for a hug.
delilah approaches the car. she rests her arms on the rolled down window and says, "i still don't quite know how this happened, but please take care of our dearest friend." she stares down billie, "no funny business. text us when you'll be home tomorrow, ok stel? love u. oh, and thanks billie!" she hugs me through the car and backs away. billie drives off.
"you live in highland park, right?" i ask billie.
"yeah, how far is that from your place?"
"about an hour i'd say."
"really only an hour?" billie says excitedly.
highland park wasn't far out from the venue. it only took us about 30 minutes to get to billies house. just enough time to finish our food while we drove. as we pulled up, i started picturing billies room in my mind from pictures i'd seen. suddenly it occurred to me, i'd be sleeping in the same house as billie fucking eilish.
billie opened the door, gesturing for me to go ahead of her. i walked into to house and i was quickly met by pepper, their dog. her house was relatively small, but it felt really homey. i immediately recognized certain features like the piano and other things in the house from videos i'd seen online.
"is this the lovely stella we've heard all about?" i heard maggie say as she approached me with a big hug.
"hi, yeah, that's me. i'm stella." i say nervously.
"i'm maggie." she introduced herself.
i looked over at finneas. "finneas." he says simply introducing himself, we exchange glances.
i smiled, before billie took me by the hand and dragged me into her room. she switched on the famous red lights and plopped herself onto her bed. she pat the spot next to her, inviting me to sit by her.
"come sit stella." she said before she grabbed my hand once again and pulled me onto her bed beside her.
"i'm gonna go shower so we can spend the rest of the night talking. or do you wanna go first?" billie looks at me.
"do you mind? i was moshing with strangers in the pit i'd love love to rinse off real quick."
"go ahead," billie says getting up to show me to the bathroom, "you can use my soap and shit i don't mind." she says motioning to her products on the shower shelf.
"thanks bil." i smile at her as she closes the door behind her .
i turn the shower on and start to strip my clothes. once the shower gets hot enough i get in, letting the boiling hot rainfall hit my back.
