"I'll wave the reddish apple for you to know what you'll catch next!"
Yume yelled for Hime to hear.
"Be careful up there!"
Yume rolled her eyes as she waved the reddish apple in her hand. She knew that she had to do slow movements for her not to fall off the tree. She's not that clumsy.
Yume has collected about half the population of the tree and the reddish apple that she threw is the last one. Yume paused, tired from using magic.
"Are you alright?"
"Yeah!" Yume gasped out. "Just tired."
Hime bit her lip. "Rest there for a while. Don't come back down if you're tired."
Yume already planned on resting before she climbed down. She's never used her magic to this extent. And the fact that she's tired proves that she needs more practice with her magic.
Ten minutes later, Yume is no longer tired. She slowly stretched her arms and relaxed. She's ready to climb down.
"Hime! I'm going to climb down now."
Yume heard shuffling from below and wondered what Hime was doing while she was resting in the tree.
"Alright!" Hime yelled. "Be careful."
Yume felt herself rolling her eyes. She doesn't know how many times she heard Hime say that. It's starting to annoy her. Of course she knows that Hime is looking out for her but she doesn't have to repeat it every time she talks.
Yume forgot how she got up on the tree. Yume thinks right now how was she able to climb a tree. It was usually Hime who climbs the reddish apple trees and throws them at Yume. Not the other way around.
Yume found herself panicking. She doesn't know how to get down.
"Yume?" Hime called from below. "Mahal? Are you okay?"
But Yume froze, her mind blank. She wanted to say a few words, tell her sister that she's okay but the words wouldn't come out.
"Mahal?"
Yume felt her heart beating fast, she heard the pounding of it. Her mouth felt dry and she couldn't speak.
"Mahal, what's wrong?"
"H-Hime." Yume stuttered out.
"Yes?"
Yume gulped. "I can't climb down."
Yume heard the startled gasp from her sister and she couldn't help but snicker.
"You can't climb down? Mahal, what are you going to do?"
Yume paused, hearing nothing but the pounding of her heart. What is she going to do? She's frozen stuck on a branch of a reddish apple tree and she doesn't know how to climb down. Her sister is right below her getting worried and if they don't get home soon, a search party could be sent after them.
"What if you slide down?"
Yume nearly choked on her saliva. "What?"
"Slide down." Hime repeated, sounding a little bit distressed. "Use your magic to make a slide and down you go."
Yume blinked, her heartbeat slowed down. That could work. Yume couldn't hear the pounding anymore and she felt herself come to her senses.
"Mahal?"
"I could try."
Yume heard a sigh and she relaxed. She took one glance at the ground below her and she slipped.
