"Yah!!! What took you so long" Heeseung said when I just arrive and was crossing his arms
I was panting and I couldn't catch up to him speaking. "Mr. Seo... I can take a cab" I just told him but when I turned my back on them. Heeseung grabs me, he drags me in the car. As I sat down he suddenly came closer to me and I just leaned back... he is to close
He just put my seatbelt on and said "I hate people who have a hard head... Let's go"
I observe him, his facial expression and movements but all I can see is just anger presented in his eyes
Hmm.. they really do have a huge wall in between him and his father
I opened the window and enjoyed the cold breeze brushing my skin, it just happened I also fell asleep in the middle of the ride, I guess I am that tired.
He woke me up when we arrived at their main house, I miss being here. I am just happy I get to visit here again. When I step out of the car, I told Mr. Seo that I will just have a quick stroll and clear my mind.
"Wait for me... I will show you the place" Heeseung said but I denied him. I just want to be alone and enjoy a walk with nature like before. The problem is no one can stop him, if he wants to join me then he will.
"Then please show the way Mr. Lee" I pretended to smile but he just looks at me with those sharp eyes.
I followed him to where he wants to be, he was quiet at first "Yah~ don't stay behind me please... I don't know how to take the lead... instead, please just stay here beside me." he started and I just followed his order
"Where are we going anyway?" I ask him. He smiled and looked at me with those joyful eyes, he grabs my hand and we then started running.
"Can you notify me if you want to run.. I just can't run as fast like you do" I told him and suddenly we are slowing down "Where are we heading to? exactly?" I said
"One of the places where we usually hang out and everything was happy back then... I just want to go back to that memory" He said
"Are we there yet?" I joked and suddenly he again sprinted and my hand was slipping but he holds on to it and continued running "Is it necessary to run?" I again joked but he did not mind me
After a minute, we ended up in the middle of the woods "We are here" he said. I was puzzled at first but he then started to pull something from the tree "It's been so long.. so please watch your step" he smiled and an old hanging ladder appeared. I look up and there was a treehouse, it was huge.
"This is amazing," I said. He climbs first and waited for me when he reached the top
"Faster" he demanded
I then started climbing... just keep my eye on him and never look down. When I am almost there, he lends me his hand and pulled me up. "When did you started planning this?"
"When I was 8" He was confident with his answer and I just agreed with it without any malicious thinking. "Wait till you see what's inside... I just hope some parts of this house did not rotten... and the branches" he said as he opened the door. Dust was all over the place so we decided to do a bit of cleaning.
I saw tons of books... This place seems like a library, but I can feel the happiness and joy that was left here because of the scribbles and pictures on the wall. While I was whipping the pictures, I ended up looking at a picture of my mother with a woman holding a boy then her first successful published book.
"What are you looking at?" he asked and when he saw me holding that picture, he suddenly smiled "Both of them are my mother but this one is my original mother" he said
"I know" those words suddenly came out of my mouth
"You know?" his eyes widened and I just replied that I saw her mother in a family picture. He believed me
I check the time and it was 5 in the afternoon. I told him about our purpose why we are here and his face turned dark and feisty again. I dare not to ask him why because it is about his family and I don't want to but in and make it worse.
We slowly walk back to the house and greeted his father.
"Avy.. You're looking good" His father said, and when he was about to start talking to his son. Heeseung just walked away from him and directly went to the dining table
"Get to the point," he said
"I just want to have a proper dinner with my son... Is that bad?" His father said
"Ohh~~ sorry FATHER~ we already had dinner... I hate to say this but we must get going~ There's an upcoming event in our school that both of us need to practice for PERFECTION" he smirked and grab my hand "Let's go"
"If you want to go... then go but Avy will stay because she is the reason why I am inviting you for dinner" His father replied
"Me?" I asked
"Do you want to assist me?" he suddenly asked
"Wh--what?" I replied
" I am actually planning to adopt you in our household since my son is always neglecting me and I thought you will be a great help to me in the future" he said
