The Knight Princess (sorry, on hiatus)

Chapter 4

(Ezra's POV)

"Urgh...", I tried standing up,

"Wh-wha--?" I looked at my hands, it was bluish-violet and it was covered with a vambrace, and I'm... wearing an armor?! I could feel my skirt under it, no wonder it's not that heavy. 

But, where's Erin?

"Erin? Erin, where are you?!", I yelled, my voice was echoing, but, no respond. I decided to find him. 

I walked in the cold place, I could see flashing things on that area, (SAVED). I continued on, I could feel someone was watching me. The walk was so long. Until a red weapon started throwing white bombs at me, a pixelated red heart glowed within me,

"(-9HP) Argh!", I yelped in pain. I started to run, dodging all the white projectiles. By the end of the area, the heart stopped glowing. What is going on?

"(*pant, pant) Boy, that was tough..."

I almost run out of breath, but I recovered fast enough. I tried hard looking for Erin,

"H-Hey!", He screamed,

"Sorry~", "It's just me, Erin." I got annoyed,

"O-oh! Heheh, sorry Ezra." He scratched his head, we continued on, me, leading the way, we don't even know the way out of here.

As we go forward, we saw someone waving, it caught our attention, and it started attacking us,

"Ezra, run!" Erin ran ahead, I ran too, dodging all the attacks, losing some of my health points (HP). 

We panted for breath, but we're able to avoid all his (or her?) attacks,

"You're not yet fatal?"

"Erin, I just got scarred." I showed him my scars,

"Gee, buddy..."

I went to the glowing light by the area

(SAVED) 'HP maxed up'

Then we both entered a castle (?) Confused, we still entered it,

"A castle? How could that be?" in the darkness there was a voice,

"Welcome, heroes...!"

"Who's there?!" Erin chirped,

"Don't be alarmed, I am not your enemy. Please come forward, the both of you..."

We are not sure if we could follow or not, we still walked further in, then revealed a hooded figure,

"Welcome, I am the Princess of this Kingdom, the 'Kingdom of Darklands'. Ezra, Erin, there is a legend beyond this land... the Two Children of Light will come forth this kingdom, and fulfil the ancient prophecy by the Universe. Please, Heroes, listen to my tale..." we stood still to listen.

Once, there was a story, whispered among all nations of Dark and Light. All of the people in both places were in peace and balance. One day, a great calamity had occurred many days ago, which leads to an imbalance between Light and Dark, which leads to Darkness overpowering the Light.

Someday, the Three Heroes will be saving the world from destruction and chaos.

Two Children of Light
And a Daughter of the Night.

They will seal the Fountain of the Dark, and defeat Darkness itself.

We depend on you...

"I would highly appreciate your patience in listening to my tale. Children of Light, will you accept your destiny?"

"Sorry, you got the wrong person...", I looked at Erin, he's... what?

The hooded figure looked shocked.

"B-but, Erin. It's the only way to save this world!"

Then, she eventually got kicked out of the way, by a... baby, with a motorcycle??

"Myah ha ha!", they said in a squeaky tone,

"Who are you?", Erin gasped,

"Well, allow me to introduce myself. I am--", he spins himself with his bike with flaming fire, "--The bad guy. I know you guys are going East, so I, Ace, is stopping you right now!" 

We entered in a fight scene.

"Wait a minute, why are we battling?"

...without any doubt, Erin stood tall and readied his weapon (a wielded axe, 'big...' ). We tried to confuse the enemy by hitting them, he got carried away, then eventually, he stood still. The heart inside me glowed and was shown on a white box, I tried to move it, and by the time that baby in his bike attacked, it caught us off guard, almost giving me a hit at the pixelated heart

"Oof! (-6HP)"

...this was tougher than I thought.

After a short yet tough duel, (YOU WON! You earn N XP and N G.), the cloaked figure came in front of us,

"O-oh, are you guys hurt?", she asked, worried,

"Not much...", I replied,

"I would like to introduce myself..."

"Uhm, Miss? We can barely hear you from there. Can you... take off your cloak?", Erin asked her

"O-oh, all right..." In revelation, a girl, a human girl, her head was black, her hands and feet were as usual, she is wearing a black costume, her dress has a gold heart on the middle of her chest, and her hat was decorated with silvery glitter.

"Greetings! I am Tempest, the Princess of the Dark. A princess without any subjects." she introduced.

Dear.. no subjects?

"Well, we've already known each other, let me show you what to do in battle. Is that alright?" Tempest asked us,

"Yes, please..." I simply said,

"Very well then!"
