Kassandra's Point Of View:

The sun beamed down on us. I groaned for the hundred time and checked my watch again. Where the hell is Andrew?

Tory, Iris, Jane, Joey and I waited impatiently at Andrew's car. For some reason he was late. We've been waiting for atleast twenty minutes in the scorching hot sun.

Finally we see Andrew jog out of the school halls and into the parking lot. He quickens his pace and gives us an apologetic smile. "Sorry guys, I had to get out of detention." He says sheepishly. "Seriously? What did you do this time?" Joey questions him. Andrew rolls his eyes, "I arrived late to Fishen's class and she kicked me out so you know, I had an attitude with her and then she gave me a detention slip."

"Can we please just go already?" I ask. Andrew turns to me and nods. "So Tory, Iris aswell as yourself can ride with me while Jane and Joey ride in their car." I shake my head, "No I think I'll ride with Jane." There's no way I'm going to ride with him after the way he spoke to me. "Why not?" He asks. I shrug shoulders and turn around, heading towards Jane's car. I feel his eyes bore into my head but I could care less. I hop in the backseat and pull out my phone, occupying myself until the rest of them get in. Jane and Joey get in and we're off onto the road. The cool wind blows against my hair and I put away my phone and look out the window. "So what do you think Andrew is up to?" I look at Jane and sigh, "I really don't know. Everything makes no sense at all. Whatever that thing is, it's out to get us and I'm scared it will." I reply. My body quivers in fear. "Let's just hope we can get to the bottom of this and stop it from following us. What is it though? A ghost? A demon?"

"I don't think it's a ghost. What if it is a demon? Oh my god, we'd have to call paranormal investigators and a priest. What if it's going to haunt us for the rest of our lives. We need to have salt and holy water and we can't sleep. Will it possess us?" Joey rants on, raising our fear levels higher and higher. "Whatever it is, we need to get rid of it." I tell them softly.

The ride remains silent and tense. I gaze upon my necklace that dangles from my neck. How is this related to what we saw? When grandma gave me this necklace, she told me her grandmother gave it to her so it was passed on from generation to generation–the typical thing. I had no idea this necklace could glow, let alone scare unidentified creatures away.

I watch as trees pass by. We're getting closer to our destination. I get an eerie feeling as the forest comes in view. Andrew parks his car and so does Jane. We get out of the cars and stand together. I gulp as I look at the forest. It does look beautiful but there's a hidden darkness within it. Light seeps through the gaps of the beautiful trees and birds chirp happily. It was like a dream place with a dark twisted inhabitant.

We all take a step forward but I freeze as I hear faint whispers. I scan the area and goosebumps begin to spread throughout my body. There's people in the forest but they are so pale...as if they were ghost. They walk aimlessly around the forest, mumbling and whispering things I can't comprehend. "Kass why did you stop walking?" Jane asks. A woman snaps her head towards us and our eyes meet. She has dark bags around her eyes, chapped lips and untamed hair. She smirks at me in a wicked way and runs straight towards us. "Everybody get back in the car now!" I scream out in fear.

Startled by my screaming, everyone hurriedly runs to Andrew's car and I lock the doors. The woman approaches the car and bangs onto the window, letting out a deranged laugh. "What the fuck is making that noise?" Joey questions in a panicking state. "You can't see the lady?" I ask in disbelief. Everyone shakes their head and I look at them with wide eyes. "Why the hell did you look straight at her? You're supposed to ignore them." Andrew scolds me. I turn to him, "You can see her?" He nods his head, "I'll explain everything later. For now we need to get out of here."

"What about Jane's car? Won't they destroy it?" I panic. "Who is they? I can't see anyone." Jane looks utterly confused and scared.  "Look I'll explain everything later. Let's just get out of here." Andrew says and starts the car.

Crammed and quiet, it didn't bother us that we sat uncomfortable. The group and I are relieved that we got out of there. The forest gets more dangerous and weird each time we visit it.

We don't know what to make out of this situation- neither do we understand what just happened. Once again I have so many questions but no answers.

"Where are we going?" I ask.

"My grandmother's house. She'll know how to help us." Andrew answers.

Okayyyy... Things just got more confusing.
