Arthit saves the day!

summary : It's quarantine and Arthit is stuck with his boyfriend (babysitting him)

Arthit's been in the kitchen all afternoon rocking his hips to the tunes of his favourite rock band (the one whose concert they went to, for their 5th anniversary, when his sap of a boyfriend had surprised him with those hard-to-get tickets) he is experimenting with different recipes mindful of Kongpob's tastebuds (already having accepted his defeat in not being able to introduce his boyfriend to a whole new world of exciting spicy dishes, after an emergency trip to the doctor last year) the whole quarantine has made him more or less of a chef, and the only thing left to do according to Kongpob, is to open his own restaurant (his boyfriend just wants to score brownie points in return of certain bedroom favours) He thinks about calling his mae for that particular bland recipe, Kongpob seemed to like so much when they had gone to visit them for dinner, last month.

After exactly 27 seconds of hearing the COVID 19 caller tune (no he's not counting) he is rewarded with a warm hello and goes on updating about his quarantine life to his mae. It's when he is in the middle of grumbling about being stuck with Kongpob for god knows how long (his favourite thing though, nowadays is watching his boyfriend workout, two times a day but he's not just going to tell that to mae) he hears a loud scream followed by his slightly shaken boyfriend, who also looks a bit scared, dash out of their bedroom.

Before he can comprehend the situation, Kongpob is already on his way back to the room, a bottle of raid clutched tightly in one hand and a determined look on his face. Arthit has no choice but to follow, mae still on the line, utterly confused. The sight which greets him though, is a bit amusing, his junior spraying every corner of their bedroom with the said bottle. The whole room smells of insecticides and he wastes no time before snatching the can from Kongpob's hands (mentally making a note to ask mae for some tips to get rid of the pungent odour)

He raises his eyebrow at the other, hoping to get a reasonable answer from his boyfriend as to why the brand new bottle of raid, which now in his hold, seems almost empty (the only answer he is going to accept is if some aliens invaded the room, almost getting mad at his boyfriend for not having taken a picture of them) His boyfriend, however seems to have calmed down a bit and is looking sheepishly at him.

"I saw a bug and all of a sudden it started flying towards me.."

Arthit wants to laugh.

He marches forwards and opens up all the windows, hearing a slight shriek coming from Kongpob, when the bug passes by him buzzing, towards the window and out of it.

He can see pink dusting his boyfriend's cheeks, which is a rare sight for him. But before he has the chance to tease his embarrassed lover, a voice comes booming through the phone, reminding him of their mae who is still on the line.

He opts to answer the phone with a slight smirk and goes on telling their mae, of her son's rather adventurous stunt.

The call is on speaker and they hear a teasing laugh from the other line and Kongpob groans, knowing it's his mae and who he is sure, now going to tell a list of embarrassing stories from his past to his boyfriend, who seems to be rather enjoying it. He can already imagine Arthit teasing him for the rest of their lives. And no he absolutely doesn't want to think about the next family dinner with his parents, sisters and his boyfriend (after which he is planning to propose his boyfriend of 8 years) his eyes darts to the box of ring at the top shelf of their wardrobe, a small smile plays on his face. On another note, he doesn't mind to be teased for the rest of his life, if it's coming from Arthit.

Unnecessary to say, Kongpob was never allowed near the bottle of raid again.
