That evening I lit a candle and pulled out the book I layed under my pillow it was about ancient artifacts and relics.

I've read this book hundreds of times as I am so fascinated by all its wonder. Most of the artefacts are either lost or forgotten, some are in the temple but they are hidden away deep inside the temple that nobody but the high priest has access to.

I quickly skim through the pages before I feel my eyes get heavy. So I put my candle out before I drift away into a slumber.

The next morning.

I feel the warm sunshine through the windows as Lana draws the curtains back.

"Get up!" She smirks while throwing a pillow at my face. "Will you not?" I say after covering my face with the pillow.

Lana grabs the pillow out of my hand "get up or I will pour water on your face!"

I know she's dead serious because she's done that to me before, many times before.
I sigh and grumpily get out of bed

Lana gets me ready in a long dark green Georgette gown and literally shoves me out of my own room.

I should just fire her for all this abuse.

I take my time going to breakfast, and when I say I took my time, I mean I turned up fifteen minutes late.

I open the doors to see my family talking a man with blonde hair and purple eyes in his 20s.

I sit down at the table unnoticed until Mielle gives me a disgusted look before saying "So you finally decided to grace us with your presence" in which I just roll my eyes at.

They all turn around and stare at me 'You're late!" My mother says in a harsh tone of voice. I give her a bright smile and sit up before saying "good morning to you too mother" in a cheerful voice.

Mielle just gives me a scowl and my mother and father just ignore me. In which they do every day, I mean they really should shake it up a bit.

I draw my attention to the stranger standing in the middle of the room. "So," I say "what's he doing here?" I see my sister mentally facepalm herself and my parents have a knowing look like they were expecting this in which they probably were.

"I'm Andrew the Duke of Kahlo." The stranger introduces his self.

The Duke of Kahlo? Why does that sound so familiar?

"He is here to ask one of us to announce the beginning of the Hunting festival this year." My father announces  "but none of us are free that same day"

"Our apologies we are at fault for that." He adds

Oh, he's the guy Lana was talking about the other day.

Well sucks to be him.

I dig into the pancakes in front of me and I was about to put a spoonful of it in my mouth but then I see a slight smirk forming on Mielle's face and I kid you not a glint of evil in her eyes.

"I'm sure Penelope would love to help you, Duke Andrew, I'm sure she's got nothing better to do that day." Mielle smirks.

I glare at Mielle, I really want to use to fork I'm holding right now and jab her in the throat with it.

Andrew gives me a pleading look.

"Ugh fine!" I huff. Andrew smiles and he is about to put his hand out to shake mine but I give him a quick glare and he instantly stops pull his hand away.

"Well, then I'll be taking my leave now." He says as he bows and leaves the room.

I excuse myself and go back to my room and see Lana cleaning. I look outside and to my surprise, it's raining. It hasn't rained in a while "Let's go out." I say to Lana "Um How about no!" Lana retorts back in full disagreement.

"Cmon it hasn't rained in forever" Lana glares at me and gives me a I don't care look.

"Fine then." I get a mini raincoat and put it over my dress. I raise my eyebrows at her "ugh ok fine I'm coming. Lana whines.
