CHAPTER 11

Huntley was bent over, hands on her knees. Her breathing was quick and her forehead was sweaty. It was suddenly too warm out but she had a smile on her face when she looked up.

The crowd was still cheering and her friends were just as tired and happy as she was. She glanced around and saw Jason giving her a thumbs up and then Nikki quickly changing her expression from a frown to a tight smile.

"And we have our winners!" She exclaimed and the crowd roared once again. Huntley slung an arm around Didi's shoulders.

"We came...first." she managed.
"Do we get...a prize or something?" Snow asked.
Elaine smacked her arm lightly. "It's for...charity."
"Actually you guys get first round of drinks and food for free at Tiger's tonight." Nikki said.
"Nice." Ally said.
"Well done. But there's always next time." Nikki said with a smile that seemed too sly.

She turned away and her friends followed her.

"There's...more of this?" Scarlett managed and stood up straight. She wiped her the sweat from her head. Huntley saw her eyebrows go up and she looked behind her. Elliot stood in the crowd, one hand on Nikki's shoulder while he stood surrounded by her friends.

Scarlett noticed her looking. "I thought he didn't go to this college." her tone was nonchalant.

Huntley made her way to Elliot and his little fan club.

"Huntley, what are you doing?" Scarlett asked but she was already there.
"Hey, what's happening over here?" Huntley asked.

"We just want to know if there's some kind of coupon for the prize...?" Felicity asked quickly.
"Oh yeah, no I've arranged with the owner." Nikki said.
"How do you guys know each other?" Didi asked.

"Nikki here is my sister." Elliot smiled and wrapped an arm around her shoulders.
"Sister?" Ally said.
"Yeah, Elliot is my older brother. So annoying sometimes but what can you do?" Nikki answered.

Elliot gave his sister a playful nudge. Now that Huntley looked at them standing side by side, she saw the similarities. Same eyes. Same confident smile.

Nikki's friends pulled Nikki along, wanting to celebrate.

" Didn't expect you guys to be related." Huntley said. "Also, you said you didn't take any classes here."

"I don't, I just came to cheer Nikki on." Elliot said and his eyes swept over the girls, taking in their muddy clothes.
"That was a rough one huh? But not as rough as the ones we're used to." he laughed and the girls awkwardly laughed along with him.

"And I'm Chase, by the way. Chase Quinn."Chase finally said and held out his hand to Elliot.

" Yeah, I was wondering who you were. Elliot Caden. I've actually heard some things about you. " Elliot said as the shook hands.

" I've heard some things about you too."
" Sorry for not introducing him sooner." Ally said and linked her arm through Chase's.

" Are you joining us for... Work? "Elliot asked subtly.
" Yeah, I think I could be of use. "
The girls looked at each other. It wouldn't be a bad thing to have him along.

" Well, I should go. I'll see you later at your victory party. "Elliot said and made to leave. He stopped for a moment." Nice moves back there, by the way. " he said to Didi. "And your aim was perfect." he said to Scarlett.

Scarlett was more stunned than Didi, it showed on her face momentarily but she regained her plain look and said, " Thanks."

He nodded and walked off.
"I told you you weren't subtle." Scarlett said to Didi.
"Me?! Did you not hear what he said to you?" Didi retaliated.
"Yeah Scarlett, your aim was perfection." Ally said, making her voice a little deeper to mimic Elliot.
