AN: It's placed between the second and the third season

The June night in Riverdale town was calm and quiet. Even though it was awfully hot outside, the calm wind was blowing softly, helping the residents survive the muggy and hot night.

Everyone was sleeping peacefully, not worrying about what tomorrow will bring. But on the two opposite sides of the town, two brokenhearted souls tried their best to lose themselves in the darkness of the night.

There was the one trailer in the Sunnyside Trailer Park on the Southside of the town, where FP Jones was nervously rolling from one side of his bed to another. The bed sheets were wet from the sweat that was dripping down his bare chest.

Suddenly, he opened his eyes and almost jumped out of his skin. Trying to take as deep breaths as possible to calm down. He ran his fingers through his dark messy locks. The fear in his eyes and the way his body trembled right after he woke up from his sleep was enough to tell, that it wasn't a good dream.

It was another nightmare.

Ever since Alice had told him about their son, he was constantly having nightmares. No matter how hard he tried to think about someone else than Charles and Alice he couldn't get them out of his mind.

Although the nightmares were different, they always were somehow connected to Alice. The most frightening for him was the feeling of being hopeless.

Oh God, he wished she had told him about her pregnancy. He would've changed, he would've done everything to keep both of them safe close to him. Their dreams could've come true, but instead of being happy together, they fell apart for almost twenty years. Twenty years of hating each other, fighting with memories and hidden feelings.

Then he met Gladys, the woman he married to forget about Alice. She wasn't the love of his life, Alice was. She was always the second one but was also the one who gave him Jughead and Jellybean, his pride and joy. If Alice would've told him about Charles, most likely he wouldn't have had either Jug and JB.

He also wouldn't have become an alcoholic. He couldn't tell it for sure, but he could feel it in his bones. Of course, Gladys was the one, he somehow blamed for his condition, but it was Alice, who broke his heart.

FP stood up from the bed and walked towards the bathroom. The cold water running down his face woke him up for good. Right after he closed the faucet, he raised his sight to look at himself in the mirror. He expected to see the anger in his brown chocolate eyes, but he saw hurt instead.

Closing his eyes again, he knew that no matter how hard he wanted to go back to bed, it felt almost impossible to fall asleep again. Not after all of the recurring scenes from his nightmare, that seemed so realistic and painful.

While staring at himself in the mirror, he suddenly realized what he needed to do. He rushed out of the bathroom and grabbed his phone and a pair of keys right before he left the trailer and walked into the darkness of the night.

Southside was dangerous even in the daylight and in the middle, in the night it was even more scary and mysterious. But there was almost nothing to be scare of when you are a Serpent King. Someone, who grew up in here and knew every single corner and darkest secrets.

He would've never let neither of Cooper (or it was better to say Smith now) women walk all alone in here, even though, that Alice was the one, who grew up on the Southside as well. The times were rough and nobody was safe, especially on this side of the town.

FP didn't bother himself to think about it much. It was Serpent's territory he was proud to be one of them. The member of the huge not only society but also family.
