(Yes, I decided to continue this fanfiction. But let it be known that my writing style has kinda changed over the last 7 months of not updating. Sorry in advance!)

Fuyuhiko kept to himself for his first class. All the kids were a bunch of bozos. Too loud, too quiet, egotistical. They were quite the bunch. And that stupid bitch Hiyoko. Why'd she have to say anything!!! He turned to look to his left, the tall boy Kazuichi sat beside him. He stood up for Fuyuhiko. 'So petty." He thought to himself. Having to have someone like him stand up for Fuyuhiko was embarrassing. But, it was quite nice of him. He expected Peko to stand up for him but Kazuichi barely knew him? Was this a sign of friendship? Fuyuhiko wasn't too sure. He hadn't had many friends. Mostly servants. Who knows, maybe Kazuichi will be his first friend! He would only hope.

Ms Yukizome had finished her rambling and then started to pair people up. Fuyuhiko hadn't been listening and had no idea what they were doing at all. He leant over to Kazuichi,

"The fuck are we doing?" He whispered, Kazuichi was snapped out of a daze and turned to Fuyuhiko,

"W-what?!" Okay, so it seemed he hadn't been paying attention either. As they both sat in confusion, Ms Yukizome made her way over to the two of them.

"Aaand you two are a pair as well! That settles it." Fuyuhiko could already feel his brain dissolving, it was barely second period and he was already so confused. Ms Yukizome turned back to them with a reassuring smile before muttering,

"Pay attention next time or I'll make you regret it." Fuyuhiko wasn't intimidated whatsoever, however, he didn't have the energy to care. Kazuichi, however, seemed a little startled by this sudden change in personality,

"You're just partners for the day. Make sure either of you doesn't die!" She said cheerily while tapping her hands together. She briskly skipped off leaving the two of them in a puzzled state.

"Die?" Kazuichi exclaimed, he chuckled and turned to Fuyuhiko, "Guess we have nothing to worry about!" Fuyuhiko turned to him, still a little confused,

"What's that supposed to mean." He asked, calmer than usual, Kazuichi turned his head towards the smaller male with an awkward smile,

"Heh, well, I'd feel safer with a Yakuza by my side than anyone else." He smiled widely, the vertices of his mouth practically pricked his ears. His sharp teeth shone along with his glowing smile. Fuyuhiko felt his cheeks sizzle pinker than usual. His heart raced a bit as he sharply turned away to hide his expression.

"T-Thanks-" He said, stuttering for the first time in a while.

After a while of small banter and chatter, a loud bell rang out across the school, indicating that it was recess. Ms Yukizome addressed the class over-optimistically before the class filed out of a small sliding door. Fuyuhiko found himself pressed up against tall figures in the crowded halls. He looked everywhere for an escape route to the cafeteria. His hands grasped at anything he could but he felt overwhelmed by the crowd. Suddenly his hand caught someone elses, It was much larger than his, scuffed and bruised but it was warm and reassuring. He looked up and saw Kazuichi squished up beside him.

"H-Hey! Looks like you're having trouble too. The exits just over there, let's try to push through!" Suddenly Fuyuhiko's arm yanked forward as Kazuichi swerved through the congregation of kids. It was as if the crowd swam around Kaz, who mingled his way to the exit with only a little struggle. He pulled Fuyuhiko through the last batch of kids. The momentum flung Fuyuhiko to Kazuichi's chest. As if it was instinct, Kazuichi pressed an arm firmly onto Fuyuhiko's back to ensure he didn't fall. Their 'scenario' had left both a little flushed in the face. Fuyuhiko pulled his arms away from Kazuichi before exchanging a hot-headed glance.

"Thanks." He said sternly before heading to the cafeteria.
