AN: Yeah I wrote this in middle school and it's unedited so. Anyways give me lots of votes I think this book should win some sort of reward.
Today is the day... no! How about, Now we begin our... not good enough! Fine, I'll just start at the beginning. My world is home to the most academic minds in the universe. The time is approaching where my twin, Caroline, and I will take part in The Coming Of Age. The Coming Of Age is where all the 16-year-olds get their academic perfection. Just last year my older brother Alex became a mathematician.
"Courtney, dinner's ready!" Mom hollers. Great, I think. I was almost done writing my pre Coming Of Age speech. I could skip dinner, but I am starving! Plus, I have never been one to miss a meal.
" Coming!" I dash down the stairs where the aroma of fresh baked bread and smoked green beans fills my nose. Alex is already inhaling his dinner with Caroline right behind him. Dad's already in his man cave watching the Science Channel. Scruffy, my Saint Bernard puppy, is eyeing my untouched corned beef. He knows that I'm the only one who still feeds him table scraps. So, I may have snuck him a piece, or two. OK, fine I hate corned beef so I gave him the whole disgusting thing. After dinner I go back to my room, trying to pull an all-nighter to finish my speech. What if this is all pointless though? The speech I mean. I got all B's! Is that bad? Who am I kidding? It's horrible. I don't belong here, but nobody can ever find that out.
