I was in My dad's car and he was driving in silence with quiet music onto his old house. I sat there silently. I checked my pockets to find my phone, I didn’t have it and he stopped at a store and left without saying a word which gave me more of a theme of peace but it didn’t seem to be very nice since his car smelled like alcohol and cigarettes. I stared out the window and there was a couple making out in the corner and then it somehow turned into a fight which is how I remember my parents where. I heard the store door open and he came out with food in his hand but he was walking kind of fast . I watched as he opened the door and one of the people in the orange gas station uniform was yelling at him and he jumped in “he’s stealing” he yelled for the door and few others picked up their phone and must be calling 911 but I watched. Started the car fast and baked into a pole but kept going and slid into the road he was going for a while till he slowed down and got onto gravel roads and kept driving I watched as the dust followed use but I still didn't say anything because I didn’t want to hear his voice as it seemed he didn’t want me to talk ethier. THe came to a fast stop and the dust was flying in the air. He got out and started walking into the woods. I got out and grabbed my duffle bag that had all my clothing. He was fast down the trail but he was sliding as the hill went down into a hole but climbed out of the hole which was. We went far and my leg was hurting and it was getting dark but I kept going. I could only see so much of him and I started to hear the wilderness wake but it was strange. I finally stopped him and there was an old house in a small meadow, the yellow paint was chipping and the roof was covered in leaves from the leaves around. I walked closer to him and he grabbed a key dorm from his pocket and went to the door to unlock the bitlocker that was to keep animals out. I walked in after he went in and it smelled like his car but he put down the thing he had stolen and opened a collar that was on the floor in the middle of the kitchen. He looked at me for a ment and moshend for me to follow, I followed him and he led me to a messy room that was staked with paperwork. I set my things on the bed that was all dirty and he left the room I looked around and cleared the few boxes off my new bed. I put my bag on the floor and took the sheets off, I opened the window that had no screen to it and threw the sheet, threw the window and shook them. The dirt and dust fell off a lot but it was still very dirty. I put it back on as he came in with a pillow and a tie blanket. I made the bed and could hear him listening to the radio, I looked around and there was a closet with more boxes. I closed the closet and walked out the room and he was sitting in an old chair. I took a deep breath and tried to think of something to say to him. I sighed knowing I couldn't think of anything to say to that man, the last memorie I had with him was him strangling my mother and smacking me across the face before being taken to jail. I watched him sit in the chair with his eyes closed and I went around and looked at the thing on the wall worried if he was going to yell at me for not being in my room but he was sleeping now and I got a chile from the opened window next to him. I went back to my room and grabbed the thin blacked that I graught out there and saw a fireplace that needed some wood, I saw a small thing of dry wood and matches. I made a small fire that I remember from the one girl scout camp they let me go to when I was 10 but they never did let me go again because when I came back they were bruised as I was most of the time. I sat in front of the fire and he woke quickly and poured his almost empty beer on it. I shivered again and left to my room before he did anything but he stopped me and took a deep breath. “You can’t light a fire” He said in a low voice he looked surprised at himself for talking but I looked more surprised because he didn’t hit me and he let go of me without hurting me. I left my room in a hurry and I could see him from my window. He was coping with wood even though he said that we shouldn't light a fire. I watched as he worked and worked. He wasn't looking at anything and he looked peaceful. I was getting confused as he did more but I shouldn't let him strike me. I watched as he put the axe away and cared for the wood to a tarp that when he lifted it I was a fool. I turned around and looked at the books that were to my ceiling, I took a deep breath and looked in the closet angina to see if there was anywhere I could put these but there was nothing. I walked out of my room and took a book off his book shelf that was dusty and in the corner of his living room. I walked up to his burty floor and I saw a brum but I don't know if he wanted my help. I was scared to help but what if he expected me to help. I took a deep breath and went to my room to get a better pair of shoes and I started sweeping and then I got a wet cloth and wiped and dried his counter and I was done during the last one as he walked inside. “You don’t have to do that” he said from behind be witch made me jump and he seemed to have noticed he scared me because he went back to his chair in the other corner of the living room and I finished and sat on the one other chair that was also there dust and I started reading a manual to making frigaratores since there wasn't anything but how to book on his bookshelf. But I was learning as I read and I finished the book as a quiet alarm came form beside him and he looked a little scared for a moment but then he turned it off and went back to looking out his window. He looked at me as he must have noticed I was watching him. “What do you want it to do?” he said in a trying way. He seemed to be trying to make a difference. I sat there frozen at his voice and chives traveled my body over and over to tell everything was going blurry and I solved my head into my legs and tears fell down my face. I stopped the crying as I remembered he hated when I cried. I looked at him and he looked sad and tired. I thought about what I would want to do. I wanted to see if he was really trying to change after all these years. I struggled to think of something to do while I was here, I thought that there was no internet and there was only a radio and a forest surrounding use. “What is there to do?” I said in a quiet voice and he looked happy to hear it.
“Well there isn't much but we should walk down to the waterfall or build something and there's loded of projects to do around the house” he said in a whisper as I did, he seemed nervous as I was to say anything that might make him mad. “ Let's go to that waterfall” I said with a smile, it was strange to smile about something he said. He smiled back and I went to my room to get another jacket . I threw open my bag and grabbed my dark grey thermale and black hoodie. I left the room much warmer and I put the thin blanket in my room as well, he was ready in a heve jacket and boots I put on my converse, since they were my best shoes for walking, I forgot my running shoes and he went out the door. I followed and he locked the house with the bike lock and he started down a trail that seemed to be pretty well used. He must really like this waterfall. I walked pretty far from him and he looked back at me a few times on our walk but it was getting very steep and it was rocky. I slipped a few times and caught myself from falling, he stopped and I tried to but I slipped again and I started sliding down and I was struggling to stop, He grabbed a nearby tree and he grabbed my hand and pulled me to him. I froze as soon as his hand touched mine but it was better than getting hurt at the end of the trial. He put me to a flatter place and let go of me, I stayed put and he looked back at me before continuing and I followed howing to see the waterfall soon.
