It was dark

The sea was rough and wild. Any sailor who had ever sailed this part of the vast and never-ending ocean could tell you. The dark black water promised an icy death to those so seasick or drunk on the devil's water that they fell in. The sky took on an evil grey as the sun retreated from the wrath of the giant thunderstorms brewing to the east, promising a dangerous ride for the fools who dared to brave the waves. The wind whipped and howled cold and wet, Giving rise to hellish gusts that threatened to tear sails from their masts. Fog settled over the water giving off an eerie feel. Many a man would say that this is when the sirens and the shark would stalk the seas for the foolish and brave.

Undercover of night, sails decorated with a hellish painting of() was a ship. The ship itself seemed to be untouched and new. However, the crew would tell you they had sailed with this ship since the captain of the vessel was a wee lad. The boat itself was made of less common but still regularly obtainable dark oak. It was made to be less easily spotted at night when it did most of its traveling. The ship often took long voyages at night and was hidden by rocky outcoves during the day.
On the ship was a crew of three men.
One was the captain, who had sailed the seven seas since he was a child when his father was still alive.
One was a hardened soldier. He had seen many things in his years with another crew. He worked day in and day out and continuously fought to survive to adulthood. After saving the current captain at a dock a long time ago, he had joined the crew when he was just 17.
The final man on board was different from your ordinary sailor. He loved music; many who heard his music on storm-filled nights like tonight compared it to the song of a siren. Soft and gentle, calming the stressed nerves of tired men, only to be met with danger when weary sailors drifted too close to the rocks.
But these men weren't resting tonight. Oh no, they had a debt to collect tonight.
************
On the shoreline, they could see a small flimsy boat that was dam mear unseaworthy, especially on nights like tonight. So they pulled up and wayed anchor by the smaller boat. Soon they threw a ladder over to the smaller ship boarding the boat regardless of whether or not they were invited. Soon they were met by the crew. Five skinny scrappy looking men and the captain. He was fatter and obviously didn't pay his crew well enough to feed themselves.
"Well, well, Look who we have 'ere. Well, boys? You have what we want?" Captain Philza asked with a dangerous look in his eye.
"W-well, ya see, w-w-we cou-ouldn't gather ye any g-gold." The captain stuttered.
Tense was a weak way to describe the atmosphere here. First mate Technoblade placed his hand on top of his scabbard in threat. Preparing for a fight after hearing that these blokes didn't have their money.
"Well then, seems we have a problem here, don't we?" Phil said shaking his head in disappointment.
"W-wait! W-we may hav-ave something ye' like! It be even better than gold! It's in the cargo hold! Ay, (insert two pirate names here) Go get the prize we caught off Silver bay a while back!"
The three men all looked at each other with skeptical gazes.
If only they knew then that the 'prize' would become the most valuable thing they had ever received.
