If he knew how long he had been here he might be more grounded. Maybe a bit more sane. He hadn't felt 'sane' in god knows how long. Everyday it was the same, wake up, pray that his captors fed him something more than the scraps off his plate. That he might be left alone for the day and that the pirates would ask nothing of him.

He wasn't some show prize to be paraded around and used. He couldn't take these horrid and foul men manhandling him anymore for people to stare at him like a spectacle or to beat for trying to bite somebody who got way to close. The beatings... the screaming... the poking and prodding.. He could take it anymore.

He wants to go home, wants to swim with the other fish. Not be pulled around by his gills and have prices put on him.

Tommy wanted to be free again.

The boys were surprised by the offer. 'What could these thieves have that would equal the value of the gold they borrowed?'

"Here it be! A rare and almost extinct Mershark! It be a healthy and feisty male!" The captain said as his crew dragged a half dead looking boy onto the deck, slamming his head against the ground. The three men were shocked...

"He be worth ye gold and more! Could be sold for a hefty penny and be used for more..." the captain had an appalling look on his face.

Phil's head snapped up when he heard that. The other two were both stuck in shock and angry at the bruises and open cuts from what appeared to be a whip.

"You made a few mistakes mates. One, ya stole our gold, and have no way to pay it back. Two ya offer up a young lad who looks terrible and you spit foul words about him. Lord only knows what you've put him through. Now we be taking the little one with us and you boys can take up your deaths with my first mate. Techno, they're all yours.." Phil said walking right by the now bleeding captain as Techno engaged them, Wilbur by his side beginning to look over the injured boy.
